DNB post Diploma 2026: NBE releases final mop up seat matrix, 1,131 seats vacant

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the Indicative Seat Matrix for the Final (Mop-up) Round of counselling for admission to DNB Post Diploma courses for the 2026 admission session, giving candidates a detailed view of the seats available across government, private, railway, ESI, public sector and other participating hospitals.
The seat matrix provides hospital-wise and speciality-wise seat details, along with category-wise distribution and information on whether a service bond applies at the respective institution.
According to the seat matrix, a total of 1,131 seats are vacant for the Final (Mop-up) Round of Counselling for admission to DNB Post Diploma courses - 2026 Admission Session.

Candidates participating in the Final Mop-Up Round should therefore carefully examine not just the number and category of seats but also the management type, reservation status, PwBD allocation and service-bond condition before finalising their preferences.
Meanwhile, as per the schedule, the round begins with choice filling from August 21, 2026, and the allotment result will be declared on August 27, 2026. Following this, allotment processing will be done from August 25 to August 26, 2026. Thereafter, the allotment result will be declared on August 27, 2026. Additionally, the physical joining at the allotted hospital will also start from the same day till September 1, 2026. Below is the detailed schedule-
