Gujarat begins NEET 2024 Round 1 Counselling, 8,184 MBBS, BDS Seats Up For Grabs
Gujarat- The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Gujarat has started the counselling for Round 1 of National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024.
As per the schedule, the online choice-filling process of NEET UG 2024 Round 1 counselling started on August 25, 2024, and will continue till August 29, 2024, till 12:00 PM. Along with this, the choices filled by the candidates will be displayed till 04:00 PM on 29 August 2024.
On this, DME Gujarat has shared a guideline detailing the guidelines for NEET UG 2024 Round 1 Counselling Choice Filling for all eligible candidates included in the merit list of ACPUGMEC for admission to Government seats, Management seats and NRI seats of Medical and Dental undergraduate courses in Government, Aided and Self-Financed Colleges for the academic year 2024-25. Below are the guidelines for choice filling-
GUIDELINES FOR CHOICE FILLING
1 Online allotment of seats is done based on merit cum choice in institutes permitted by the concerned council.
2 Choices can be decided by the candidate on the following criteria-
i Course of choice.
ii Institute/Place of choice.
iii Government or Self-financed Institute.
iv Tuition fees.
3 Candidates are instructed to fill all the available choices irrespective of the institute’s status (permitted /recognized) so that during the process of allotment if any institute gets permission, the candidate can get admission in that seat.
4 For Online Choice Filling, visit the website DME official website.
5 Click on the “Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic & Homeopathy” tab under “Undergraduate Admission”. Then a new window will appear on the computer screen.
6 Click on the “Apply for Admission in Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, and Ayurvedic” button. Then again a new window will appear on the computer screen.
7 Click on “Candidate Registration/Login”. Then again a window will appear on the computer screen showing the “Candidate Registration/Login” button.
8 Enter the USER ID (Sr No. of PIN), Password, 14-digit PIN and Captcha & Click on the Submit button. Then again a window will appear on the computer screen.
9 Click on “CHOICE DETAILS”. 3 options will be displayed i.e.-
i Available Choice: The candidate will see all available choices.
ii Fill Choice: To start the choice filling process.
iii Print Filled Choice: After locking the choices candidate should take a printout of the choice list.
10 Click on “Available Choice” to start the process of choice filling. Then a new window will appear on the computer screen.
11 Then the candidate will see all the available choices. The candidate can filter out the choice based on options as under-
i Branch: MEDICAL.
ii Institute Type: GOV.
iii Seat Type: GOVERNMENT SEAT.
12 Click on “Fill Choice” to start the process of choice filling. Then again a window will appear on the computer screen.
13 If the candidate fails to lock choices it will be automatically locked on the last day of choice filling.
Apart from this, DME Gujarat has also released the seat matrix for both dental and medical courses. As per the seat matrix, a total of 8,184 seats are vacant in dental and medical courses. Of which, 6858 seats are vacant in medical and 60 seats are vacant in medical PwD. Similarly, a total of 1255 seats are vacant in dental courses and 11 are vacant in Dental PwD.
