INI CET January 2026: AIIMS cancels candidature of 70 medicos over missing details in open round

New Delhi: For the ongoing INI CET January 2026 counselling process, AIIMS New Delhi has cancelled the candidature of aspirants who failed to upload valid payment details or submitted incomplete details for the Open Round of seat allocation.
The effect was announced through an official notice issued by the Examination Section of AIIMS. The institute clarified that although these candidates were provisionally eligible for the Open Round, they did not respond to repeated communication asking them to submit proof of payment or transaction details for reconciliation.
As part of the Open Round process, candidates were required to upload or email their payment transaction details to confirm their participation. AIIMS had given them a final opportunity to submit the required information. However, the candidates listed in Annexure-1 neither submitted valid payment proof nor responded within the stipulated timeline.
Due to this lapse, AIIMS has officially cancelled their candidature and made it clear that no further requests or claims will be considered.
The cancellation impacts candidates who had applied for prestigious postgraduate courses across Institutes of National Importance, including:
• MD/MS
• DM (6-year)
• MCh (6-year)
• MDS
The Open Round is typically one of the final opportunities for seat allotment in the January session, making the cancellation particularly significant for the affected candidates.
The move serves as a strong reminder for medical aspirants to carefully follow counselling instructions, especially during crucial stages like payment confirmation and document verification. Even small procedural oversights can lead to serious consequences in competitive national-level examinations.
AIIMS has advised all candidates to regularly check the official website for updates, notices, and further counselling instructions. With limited seats and intense competition in INI-CET, strict compliance with timelines and submission requirements remains essential for securing admission.
