JIPMER INI CET January 2026 session round 1 counselling begins, check complete details here

Puducherry: The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has released the First Counselling Information Brochure outlining the admission procedure for MD, MS, MDS, and Integrated 6-year MCh courses for the January 2026 academic session.
The counselling will be conducted for candidates allotted seats through the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) examination.
As per the Information Brochure, the first round of counselling will be held from today, i.e. December 19 to December 24, 2025, at Lecture Hall–1, JIPMER Academic Centre (JAC). Candidates must report between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on the scheduled dates for completion of admission formalities. For candidates who choose Option 1 in the First counselling (accepted the seat): (Admission process will span over a minimum of two working days).
STEPS FOR REGISTRATION IN NDHM / ABDM (HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL ID REGISTRATION)
STEP 1- Click the link mentioned in the Information Brochure to Register 'Professional Healthcare ID'.
STEP 2- Click on 'Create Your Healthcare Professional ID now'.
STEP 3- Click on 'I am a Healthcare Professional'.
STEP 4- Click on 'Generate via Aadhaar'.
STEP 5- Enter your Aadhaar Number.
STEP 6- Click on 'I agree' & Click on 'Submit'.
STEP 7- You will get 6 digit 'OTP' to your Aadhaar Registered Mobile Number.
STEP 8- Enter the OTP and Click 'Login'.
STEP 9- After logging-in, enter your Mobile Number.
STEP 10- You will get again 6 digit 'OTP again on your mobile number.
STEP 11- Enter OTP & Click on Login.
STEP 12- After logging in, create your 'User Name' & 'Password' (Password must be 8 character, Upper case, lower case, alphanumeric & special character).
STEP 13- Select 'I am a Healthcare Professional'.
STEP 14- Select 'Modern Medicine'.
STEP 15- Enter your email address & click on 'submit'.
STEP 16- After submitting, you will get an OTP on your email for verification. After verification, your Registration will be completed and you will receive a 14-digit Professional Healthcare ID number. Take a printout of this page and submit the same at the time of document verification.

Below are the forms to be printed, filled out, and brought to the venue-
1 ID card form – all the fields should be filled and in block letters.
2 Joining letter.
3 Joining report format.
4 Hostel application form (if applicable).
5 Honor Code.
6 Personal information slip for processing Stipend.
7 Biodata Proforma.
ON THE DAY OF REPORTING (FOR OPTION 1 CANDIDATES)
The Candidates should keep the documents in the order mentioned below and handover to the verification desk when required-
1 Offer Letter (Download from INI-CET Website).
2 Seat Allocation Slip (Option exercise slip).
3 Downloaded Hall Ticket.
4 MBBS Degree / Provisional Certificate.
5 MBBS Mark Statement.
6 CRRI / Internship Completion Certificate (Internship should be completed on or before 31.01.2026).
7 Permanent /Valid Provisional Medical Registration Certificate of MBBS Course*.
8 Conduct / Character Certificate from the Institute last studied.
9 Transfer (or) Migration Certificate obtained from the Institute last studied*.
10 Date of Birth / S.S.L.C. Certificate showing the date of birth.
11 Caste Certificate (in respect of OBC/SC/ST/EWS candidates-Format as prospectus Part-B) For OBC Candidates -Certificate to be issued 01.04.2025 to 21.10.2025. For EWS Candidate -Certificate to be issued between 01.04.2025 to 21.10.2025.
12 Medical Certificate in case of Orthopedic Physically Challenged (OPH) candidates.
13 Residence Certificate/ Aadhar Card Photocopy.
14 Passport size color photo – 2 Nos.
15 Photocopies of all Original Certificates (Sl. No 4 to 12) 16. Honor Code (Annexure-5).
17 Biodata Proforma.
18 JIPMER e-form / Student’s Verification Form.
19 NDHM / ABDM (print copy).
20 ID Card Application.
21 Personal information slip for processing Stipend.
22 Agreement Document.
