JIPMER MBBS Admissions 2020: Stray Vacancy round postponed, Details
Puducherry: Through a recent notice, the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has informed about the postponement of stray vacancy round of counselling for MBBS admissions this academic year.
The institute has clearly stated in its notification that as per the directions of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the Stray Vacancy Round counselling for filling up the vacant MBBS seats, after the MOP UP round of counselling, for the academic year 2020-21 for Puducherry and Karaikal campuses scheduled on 29-12-2020 is POSTPONED.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) can trace its origins to the 'Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry' established by the French Government in 1823. In 1956 foundation for new medical college was laid and in 1964, hospital was inaugurated. JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 2008.
