JIPMER Stray Vacancy round for MBBS admissions scheduled for 10th January; 19 seats vacant

JIPMER Stray Vacancy round for MBBS admissions scheduled for 10th January; 19 seats vacant

Puducherry: Through a recent notice, the JIPMER has informed about the conduction of the Stray vacancy round for the MBBS course for this academic year admissions.

According to the vacant seat position released by the JIPMER with respect to the stray vacancy round, 19 MBBS seats are vacant at the Karaikal campus.

The Stray Vacancy Round of counselling for filling up the MBBS seats for the 2020-21 session for JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal campus which remained vacant after Mop-Up Round of counselling and other seats that might fall vacant by way of surrender/resignation etc. (after admission in 1st, 2nd and Mop-up round) will be held on 10th January 2021 (Sunday) at APJ Abdul Kalam JIPMER Auditorium, Puducherry as detailed below.

Subsequently, the Medical Examination of the selected candidates for JIPMER shall be held on 11 th January 2021 (Monday) from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon.

* An updated list of vacant seats will be displayed on JIPMER website at 6 PM on 8 th January 2021.
• Stray vacancy round of counselling will be conducted only in offline mode as per the schedule given.
• On 10th January 2021, candidates must produce printout of the registration slip of Stray vacancy round issued to them by the MCC along with all original certificates of qualification such as Admit Card, Rank letter, result notification, Date of Birth(10th Std.), Proof of belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS, 12th passing Mark sheet along with passing certificate and a set of self-attested copies of all certificates and 6 passport sized photographs of the candidate.
• Candidates without all the required original certificates will not be permitted to attend stray vacancy round counselling.
• After the physical verification of original certificates and the registration slip of stray vacancy round, a category-wise merit list will be drawn and displayed and the counseling will be done category wise.
• If any OBC seat remains vacant after counseling for OBC seats, all vacant seats will be transferred to UR category and will be offered to UR candidates on merit.
• If any EWS seat remains vacant after counseling for EWS seats, all vacant seats will be transferred to UR category and will be offered to UR candidates on merit.
• In case of SC/ST counseling, if any ST seat(s) remain vacant, these will be transferred to SC category, In case any SC seat remains vacant after counseling for SC seat, all vacant seats in SC category will be transferred to UR category and will be offered to UR candidates on the basis of merit.
• Thus, UR candidates should therefore, stay back till the completion of the stray vacancy round of counseling for all categories.
• Candidates already holding a seat in Round-I, Round-2 and Mop-up round will not be allowed to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round.
• Candidates will not be allowed to attend Stray Vacancy round Counseling without the registration slip issued by MCC for Stray Vacancy Round Counseling
• The allocation of seats will be made strictly as per rank/merit of candidates.
• The OBC & EWS candidates will be allowed to appear in the counseling, subject to production of only valid OBC Non-Creamy Layer/EWS certificate issued for Central Govt. Institutions as on 10th January 2021. Failure to bring valid OBC/EWS certificate shall make the candidates ineligible for the purpose of allotment of seat in OBC/EWS category. In case of any discrepancy in the certificates of constitutional reservation, the candidates will be considered only under UR category for the counselling procedure. No provisional allotment will be made under OBC/EWS category and no additional time will be given to provide valid certificates.
