KNRUHS to close round 2 web options for MBBS admissions 2026

Telangana: The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) is going to close the second phase of web-based counseling for MBBS admissions 2026.
The notice issued by KNRUHS concerns the vacant seats and enhanced seats in SVS Medical College, Mahabubnagar from 200 seats to 250 seats & Mahavir Institute of Medical Sciences, Vikarabad from 200 seats to 250 seats under Competent Authority Quota (CQ) for admission into MBBS course including EWS, PWD, PMC, CAP categories for the AY 2026-27 in Government, Private Unaided Non-Minority & Minority Medical Colleges in the State of Telangana.
According to the notification issued by the KNRUHS in this regard, candidates whose certificates were uploaded at the time of online registration and provisionally verified by staff of the concerned departments and whose names are notified as eligible candidates in the final merit list of UG Admissions on the KNRUHS website & subsequent addendums to the merit list, are eligible to exercise web options online from a computer with an internet connection.
Therefore, all the eligible candidates whose names are displayed in the final merit list & subsequent addendums, including EWS, PWD, PMC, CAP category candidates on the KNRUHS website, can exercise web options for admission into the MBBS course till 01.00 PM on 14 September 2026 through the website.
Also, allotment of seats shall be issued on 15 September 2026, subject to the following conditions-
1 The Candidates who were allotted seats in the first phase of counselling and have not reported/discontinued the course after joining at the respective colleges are not eligible for exercising options.
2 Candidates who have not exercised web options in the first phase of counselling are not eligible to exercise web options.
3 The candidates who were allotted MBBS seats in the first phase of counselling and joined the course and are continuing the course are eligible to exercise web options.
UNIVERSITY FEE- Allotted Candidates have to pay the University fee of Rs 12,000/- for the MBBS Course through the payment Gateway by using an online payment method. (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking) and download the allotment order. Candidates who have paid the University fee in the first phase of counselling and are called in the second phase of counselling need not pay the University fee again.
Meanwhile, candidates are informed that if they exercise web options for a seat and are allotted an MBBS seat as per their choice in the web- counseling and if they do not join the course at the allotted college, they will not be eligible for exercising web options for subsequent rounds of counselling.
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES
1 If a candidate is allotted a seat in the MBBS course as per his/her options and does not join the course, they shall not be permitted to exercise web options in subsequent phases of counselling to prevent seat blocking.
2 Candidates exercising web options for MBBS course are informed that there is no limit of choices (number) for exercising web options. Candidates can exercise web options for any number of colleges the candidate is interested in joining as per the candidate’s eligibility
3 Candidates are advised to exercise web options for MBBS seats in all colleges in which they are interested to join irrespective of available vacant seats shown in seat matrix, as vacancies will arise during counselling process due to sliding of candidates from allotted seats in first phase of counselling to other seats as per their web options in the second phase of counselling. If candidates are not interested in joining any college, they should not exercise web options for the same.
4 If a seat is allotted in this phase of counselling as per web options exercised by the candidate, the seat allotted in the 1st phase of counselling will be automatically cancelled and allotted to the other candidate by order of merit and as per their options. Therefore, candidates are informed to exercise web options carefully for sliding with awareness of this fact and to join the allotted/slided seat in the second phase of counselling, failing which the seat will be cancelled automatically and the candidate is not eligible for further phases of counselling.

Along with this, KNRUHS has also released the Phase 2 seat matrix. According to the seat matrix, a total of 1,733 seats are vacant across various sub-categories (General, EWS, PWD/PHO, PMC, CAP, and Minority) and are open for allotment. Below is the detailed seat matrix-
