Last Chance for MBBS Aspirants: BFUHS Announces Special Stray Vacancy Round Under NEET-UG 2024
Punjab : Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), under the directives of the Government of India and the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), has announced a Special Stray Vacancy Round to fill vacant MBBS seats under NEET UG 2024.
Punjab's Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has announced a Special Stray Vacancy Round under NEET UG 2024 to fill the remaining MBBS seat under the Government Quota (SC) at Adesh Medical College, Bathinda. As per directives from the Government of India and the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), the round is scheduled for 29th and 30th December 2024. Eligible candidates not allotted seats in prior rounds can participate by submitting a willingness form and a refundable security deposit of ₹2 lakh. This initiative, subject to court rulings, aims to allocate the vacant seat based on merit, ensuring no further resignations post-allotment.

The already registered candidates not holding the seat of Round-I, II, III and also not allotted seat in Stray/Extended Vacancy Rounds, can submit their willingness alongwith the following security deposit as per schedule:

Note:
The candidates who will submit the willingness to participate for this seat will automatically be considered as given his/her choice for the said seat.
The candidate to whom seat will be allotted as per merit will be considered as joined for the above said seat and thereafter he/she will not be allowed to resign/surrender the seat. Accordingly, the candidate will report Physically/Online in the concerned College on 30.12.2024 (before midnight).
After exhausting reserve category candidates, if the said seat is not filled then said reserved category seat will be converted into open merit and offered to open merit candidates accordingly.
The candidate will have to deposit the fee of Rs. 547000/-(half of tuition fee) i.e. equivalent to the fee of Management Quota w.r.t decision of Hon’ble High Court in CWP No. 20467 of 2024 & 14902 of 2020 and other associated cases.
This counselling is subject to final decision of Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court in CWP No. 31184-2024 of 2024 titled Mr. Gourav Kumar Vs State of Punjab and others.
This counselling is one-time measure and must not be treated as precedence.
