Man Duped of Rs 15 Lakh in ESIC Medical College Faridabad MBBS Seat Promise, 5 Booked

The victim has been identified as Sharma, a resident of Sector-55, Faridabad. He was duped of about Rs 15 lakh to get his daughter admitted to MBBS in ESIC Medical College. The accused has been identified as Manoj Sharma, his wife Monika, Shubham Tiwari, Priyanka and Krishna.

According to AmarUjala News report, after the result of the NEET exam was declared in June 2024, the victim's daughter was contacted by one of her classmates, Shubham Tiwari. Shubham told the girl that Manoj Sharma and Monika, who are his acquaintances, have strong connections at high levels, and they can secure your MBBS seat in ESIC Medical College, Faridabad, under state quota.

After which, Shubham introduced Jitendra and his daughter to Monica, and she claimed to get them admitted and asked for Rs 15 lakh. Monica further introduced them to her husband Manoj and others. It is alleged that the accused gave them a fake list of students selected for MBBS admission for the 2024-25 session. The student's name was at number 50 in this list.

In addition, information was also given about admission on 7 October 2024, wherein they claimed verification of documents. The accused also got a fake ID card of ESIC Medical College made in the name of the girl, on which the roll number was written. The accused said that the new session would start from 17 January 2025 instead of 26 December.

Later, when the girl's name was not found in the original list, the fraud came to light. When the victim went to the accused and asked to return his money, the fraudsters refused . After this, Sharma, lodged a complaint with the police.

Police spokesperson Yashpal Singh said that the Sector-58 police station has registered an FIR against 5 people in the case and started an investigation.
