MBBS Admission 2023 In Jammu and Kashmir, Check Out Top Medical Colleges
Jammu and Kashmir: Admissions to MBBS colleges across Jammu and Kashmir are based on the NEET UG entrance exam. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the entrance exam once a year. The counseling processes for admissions are yet to begin. It will be held in online mode. Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) is responsible for the counseling process for seat allotment for MBBS course.
MBBS admission 2023 starts with the release of the application form. Candidates will have to submit the application form by the given deadline. After registration, a provisional merit list is released. The merit list comprises the eligible candidates for the counseling process in 2023. The candidates have to qualify in NEET UG to be eligible to participate in the counseling process. It comprises 3 rounds (round 1, round 2, and mop-up round). If seats are not filled in the 1st three rounds, a stray vacancy round is conducted, which is a college-level round.
During the counseling process, candidates are asked to fill in the choices based on their preferences. BOPEE will allocate the seats based on the reservation criteria, choices filled by the candidates, and their merit position in the state merit list. Candidates who are allotted seats are asked to report to the allotted college for completion of admission. The vacant seats in a particular round are carried forward to the next round.
