MBBS Admissions: CENTAC releases revised Seat Matrix for IGMCRI, Date Of Joining for Special Mop-Up Round, Details
Puducherry: The revised seat matrix at Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, Puducherry and joining date for the special Mop-Up round for selected candidates has been released for the MBBS course by CENTAC.
A total of 180 seats are allocated for MBBS at Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, Puducherry. The government quota has 135(+4) seats, AIQ has 27 seats, and the NRI quota has 18(-4) seats. CENTAC will follow this revised seat matrix to conduct counselling for admission of candidates in the 1st-year MBBS course.
The Puducherry region unreserved 2 seats and MBC 1 seat, and the Mahe region unreserved 1 seat is there CENTAC has further announced.
Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute (IGMC & RI) was established by the Government of Puducherry Institution, functioning under the Perunthalaivar Kamaraj Medical College Society.

Today, a special Mop-Up Counselling was conducted in the hybrid mode for 4 Government Quota MBBS seats. Candidates were called in the order of merit. The selected candidates need to join on 27th April 2022 before 3:00 pm. The candidates are allotted seats only after the entire tuition fee is paid.
If the candidates fail to join the allotted college after this round, the entire tuition fee will be forfeited. Therefore, the candidates make a considerate decision before taking the seat in this round.
The candidates who have joined college still Mop-Up round/1:10 counselling were also eligible for participation.
The counselling for admission to Undergraduate Dental and Medical courses is done by CENTAC, which conducts counselling for admission in Government & Private Dental and Medical Colleges.
CENTAC is a common admission portal to Puducherry colleges and is established by the Government of Puducherry. Under this, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and those who have appeared in such qualifying examinations are eligible for admission. There are various courses under its umbrella.
