MBBS, BDS Admissions: DME Assam announces Round 2 NEET counselling schedule, details
Guwahati: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam has released the schedule for the second round of online counselling for admission to vacant MBBS and BDS seats in government medical and dental colleges of the state under the 2025 state quota.
Online Portal for the counselling will be available at the official website of DME Assam from 27/08/2025 to 29/08/2025 (11:55 PM).
Candidates who had not registered earlier shall have to register online through the link provided in the website mentioned above during this period for participating in the Second Round of Online counselling.
Candidates who have already registered and participated in Round 1 state counselling need not register again and shall be able to take part in the Online choice filling of 2nd Round of Counselling for fresh allotment or change of College.
After completion of Online Registration process, Online Filling of Choice will be available from 30/08/2025 to 01/09/2025 (10:00 PM), Locking of choice will be available on 01/09/2025 (5 PM to 11:59 PM), after which the choice will be locked automatically if not locked earlier by the candidate.
Processing of seat allotment will be from 02/09/2025 to 04/09/2025. After processing the data, the result will be displayed along with modalities of admission on 05/09/2025. The provisionally selected candidates shall have to get admitted in the respective allotted institutions as directed between 09/09/2025 to 10/09/2025.
DME Assam stated in the notice that the 2nd round Online Counselling for Admission into the vacant MBBS/BDS seats in the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam for the session 2025 under State quota seats, is going to be held under this Directorate. Candidates who have qualified in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG-2025) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) may participate in the Online counselling provided they fulfill all eligibility criteria mentioned in the “The Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses) Rules 2017 (Amended upto 2025), as well as meet the cut-off score in NEET-UG-2025.
