MBBS: GGSIPU extends NEET 2026 round 1 registration, choice filling dates, check details

New Delhi: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has extended the deadline for fresh registration, correction/editing of application details, uploading of mandatory documents and choice filling for MBBS admissions under the NEET UG 2026.
In this regard, the Academic Branch of GGSIPU has issued a notification for the MBBS programme for the academic session 2026-27.
According to the notification, candidates can now complete these activities till August 24, 2026, as announced by the university.
The extension applies to NEET UG 2026-qualified candidates participating in Round 1 counselling conducted through the GGSIPU online counselling portal.
According to the university, candidates who have not yet registered for online counselling or have registered but have not paid the counselling fee of Rs 2,500 can complete the registration process, pay the fee and upload the required documents, including their NEET UG 2026 scorecard, within the extended window.
Meanwhile, candidates who have already registered on the GGSIPU counselling portal, paid the counselling fee and uploaded their NEET UG 2026 scorecard have also been given additional time for filling choices/preferences for seat allotment. The choice filling window will remain open till August 24, 2026, at 11:59 pm.
Additionally, the university has tentatively scheduled the declaration of the Round 1 counselling result for August 25, 2026. Below is the detailed schedule-

GGSIPU said that the revised timeline has been issued in accordance with the Medical Counselling Committee's (MCC) revised AIQ and state counselling schedule for Round 1 of UG Counselling 2026 dated August 19, 2026.
The detailed procedure to be followed by candidates after the declaration of the Round 1 result will be notified separately by the university in due course.
