MCC begins round 1 NEET 2026 counselling, check complete registration process

The MCC will conduct counselling for 15% All India Quota seats, 100% seats in Deemed Universities, AIIMS and JIPMER, Central Universities and institutes, ESIC, AMU, BHU, AFMC registration and participating B.Sc. Nursing institutions.

REGISTRATION & COUNSELLING PROCESS

1 Candidates are informed that the e-mail Address and Mobile Number submitted by the candidate in the Online Application Form of NTA are used for registration on the MCC portal for Counselling.

2 All the information/ communication will be sent by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW through email on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only.

3 Any complaint with regard to the change of registered mobile number or email address shall not be entertained by the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW.

4 Candidates are advised to use a laptop or Computer along with the latest registered version of Chrome/Internet Explorer/Firefox/Windows/IOS during the Registration and Choice-Filling process to avoid any technical complications.

5 Qualified and eligible candidates are required to register on the MCC website to participate in the counselling process for allotment of seat. MCC does not allot any seat either on a nomination basis or manually.

6 Candidates are advised to download the Sandes app for OTP on their registered phone number for registration.

7 It is also mandatory for candidates to physically report at the college along with the original documents so as to confirm the allotted seat. No other person in place of the candidate shall be allowed to submit the documents for taking admission on behalf of the candidate.

ROUND 1 (AIQ/ CENTRAL INSTITUTES/UNVERSITY/AIIMS/ JIPMER/ DEEMED UNVERSITY/ AMU/ BHU/ BSc NURSING)

1 Main Counselling Registration, which will include payment of Non-Refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit (to be refunded only in the account from which payment has been made).

2 Exercising of choices and locking of choices during choice filling/ locking window to be done as per the schedule.

3 Process of Seat Allotment Round-1.

4 Publication of result of Round-1on MCC website.

5 Physical Reporting with original documents at the allotted Medical/Dental College against Round-1 for candidates who do not want upgradation. (FREEZE CANDIDATES).

6 Candidates who want to upgrade their seat in Round-2 can give willingness for upgradation online. (FLOAT CANDIDATES) Such candidates do not need to physically report at the allotted college.

7 All the candidates, whether Freeze or Float, have to mandatorily submit the scanned copies of their documents online on the MCC portal by logging into their account.

ROUND-2 (AIQ/ CENTRAL INSTITUTES/UNVERSITY/AIIMS/ JIPMER/ DEEMED UNVERSITY/ AMU/ BHU/ BSc NURSING)

1 Candidates who registered for Round-1 but did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again. Also, candidates who have not reported in Round-1need not register again.

2 Fresh New Registration for Round-2 for those candidates who have not registered inRound-1 (with full payment of fees).

3 Exercising of “Fresh Choices” and locking of choices.

4 Process of Seat Allotment Round-2.

5 Publication of results of Round-2 on MCC website.

6 Physical Reporting with original documents at the allotted Medical/Dental College against Round 2 for candidates who do not want upgradation. (FREEZE CANDIDATES).

7 Candidates who want to upgrade their seat in Round-3 can give willingness for upgradation online. (FLOAT CANDIDATES) Such candidates do not need to physically report at the allotted college.

8 All the candidates, whether Freeze or Float, have to mandatorily submit the scanned copies of their documents online on the MCC portal by logging into their account. Candidates who submitted their documents in Round -1 need not submit again. (One-time upload only).

9 If upgraded in Round 2, the candidate will get automatically relieved from the Round 1 seat to join the Round 2 seat.

10 The candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 2 but do not join the allotted seat will get their security deposit forfeited.

11 Candidates getting upgraded in Round 2 shall NOT have any claim on Round 1 seat.

ROUND-3 (AIQ/ CENTRAL INSTITUTES/UNVERSITY/AIIMS/ JIPMER/ DEEMED UNVERSITY/ AMU/ BHU/ BSc NURSING)

1 Candidates who registered for Round 1 or Round 2 and did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again.

2 Exercising of “Fresh Choice filling” and locking of choices.

4 Process of Seat Allotment Round-3.

4 Publication of result of Round 3 on MCC website.

5 After Round-3 provisional allotment result declaration → Mandatory physical reporting for all allotted candidates of Round 3 at the Allotted Institutes and Float.

6 If allotted a seat in Round 3, a candidate who does not report at the allotted institute will exit with forfeiture of security deposit and will get eliminated from further rounds of counselling.

7 Fresh New Registration Round 3 for those candidates who

i Have not registered in Round-1 or Round 2 (with full payment of fees; Registration and Security).

ii Have resigned / Not reported in Round 2 need to fill fresh choices only with full payment of fees.

FINAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND

1 Fresh registrations shall be done for Final Stray Vacancy Round.

2 Data will be shared with the Centre and the States after Round 3 and if any candidate has his name in the list of allotted candidates in either the Centre or the State, then such candidates shall be eliminated from the All India Stray Vacancy Round.

3 AIQ Stray Vacancy Round for vacant seats of Round 3 and Deemed University seats will be conducted by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW through online mode.

4 For Deemed Universities, the Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW as per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India vide order dated 12.12.2022 passed in “I.A NO. 132614/2022 IN W.P (c) NO. 267/2017 in Dar-us Slam Educational trust and Ors. vs. Medical Council of India & Ors.”.

3 If a candidate is allotted a seat in Stray round, he has to join the allotted seat/college. If the candidate does not join the allotted seat, his/her security deposit will be forfeited and the candidate will not be eligible to participate in further rounds, if any.

4 The data of allotted candidates of Stray Round will be shared with states for weeding out from the seat processing of the Stray Round of states.

Meanwhile, MCC has released the schedule of the NEET UG 2026 counselling for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and Nursing admissions to the All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota seats. As per the schedule, the counselling for the students who qualified the UG medical entrance test shall commence on 04th August for the All India Quota/Deemed/Central Universities seats, whereas the State counselling shall commence on 13th August, 2026. MCC has announced that the academic session for the UG courses shall commence on 1st September, 2026.
