MCC NEET counselling 2026 round 2 dates to be announced shortly

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is shortly going to commence the 2nd round of NEET counselling for the 2026-27 academic year.
The date for MCC Round 2 choice filling for 2026 will soon be announced on the official MCC counselling portal.
Candidates will be able to fill in their choices in accordance with the MCC counselling Round 2 schedule for 2026.
STEPS FOR NEET UG COUNSELLING ROUND 2 REGISTRATION 2026
For MCC Registration 2026 for Round 2, candidates have to follow the procedure given below-
STEP 1- Visit the official website of MCC.
STEP 2- Click on the ‘New Registration 2026’ tab.
STEP 3- Read the instructions carefully and agree.
STEP 4- Enter the details to log in.
STEP 5- Choose the password and submit.
STEP 6- Complete the MCC Counselling registration form by entering personal, educational and other details.
STEP 7- Upload the required scanned documents.
STEP 8- Pay the registration fee.
STEP 9- Submit and save the confirmation page.
Initially, according to the MCC counselling schedule released alongside the information bulletin, registration for Round 2 was set to begin on August 25. However, the schedule for MCC's Round 2 was delayed due to the postponement of the Round 1 seat allotment process. The dates for registration, choice filling, and seat allotment for NEET counselling Round 2 will be announced soon.
Meanwhile, the NEET-UG (MBBS/BDS/B.Sc. Nursing) counselling 2026 information bulletin & counselling scheme released by the MCC has detailed the rules for Round 2 for the candidates willing to participate in the said counselling. Below are the detailed rules-
ROUND-2 (AIQ/ CENTRAL INSTITUTES/ UNIVERSITY/ AIIMS/ JIPMER/ DEEMED UNIVERSITY/ AMU/ BHU/ B.Sc. NURSING)
1 Candidates who registered for Round-1 but did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again. Also, candidates who have not reported in Round-1need not register again.
2 Fresh New Registration for Round-2 for those candidates who have not registered inRound-1 (with full payment of fees).
3 Exercising of “Fresh Choices” and locking of choices.
4 Process of Seat Allotment Round-2.
5 Publication of result of Round-2 on MCC website.
6 Physical Reporting with original documents at the allotted Medical/Dental College against Round 2 for candidates who do not want upgradation. (Freeze candidates).
7 Candidates who want to upgrade their seat in Round-3 can give willingness for upgradation online. (float candidates) Such candidates do not need to physically report at the allotted college.
8 All the candidates, whether Freeze or Float, have to mandatorily submit the scanned copies of their documents online on the MCC portal by logging into their account. Candidates who submitted their documents in Round -1 need not submit again. (One-time upload only).
9 If upgraded in Round 2, the candidate will be automatically relieved from the Round 1 seat to join the Round 2 seat.
10 The candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 2 but do not join the allotted seat will get their security deposit forfeited.
11 Candidates getting upgraded in Round 2 shall not have any claim on Round 1 seat.
It is to be noted that if a candidate freshly registered in round 2 is not allotted a seat, he/she can participate inround 3 directly without fresh registration.
