MCC Rectifies discrepancy in NEET SS Counselling Seat Matrix, check details

New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notice regarding the rectification of discrepancies in DNB SS Paediatric Neurology and DNB SS Nephrology seats in the NEET SS counselling 2024 seat matrix.
Through the notice, MCC has informed all the Super Speciality candidates that inadvertently DNB Paediatric Neurology (DPNY) seats were given the wrong code of DNBSS Nephrology seats (DNPY). Due to this, the Paediatric Neurology seats were not visible in the choice filling. However, the error has now been corrected.
Thus, a total of 5 seats have been added in DNB SS Paediatric Neurology, 4 Nephrology seats and 1 Paediatric Surgery seat have been removed from 4 institutes. Of these, 2 seats have been added in Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Institute of Child Health and Research Centre, Mumbai, 1 seat has been added in PD Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, and 2 seats have been added in Rainbow Children's Hospital, Telangana.
Meanwhile, 2 seats each from DNBSS Nephrology courses from Bai Jerbai Wadia Children's Hospital, Centre for Child Health and Research, Mumbai and Rainbow Children's Hospital, Telangana and 1 seat from Paediatric Surgery (DPDS) courses from Wenlock District Hospital, Hampankatta, Karnataka have been removed.

Meanwhile, according to the seat matrix released by the MCC, a total of 2742 DNB Super Speciality (SS) seats are vacant across 28 specialities for the ongoing NEET SS 2024 counselling. The highest number of seats is available in Critical Care Medicine (479 seats), followed by Cardiology (362) and Medical Gastroenterology (225). Other top specialities include Neurology (229), Nephrology (221), and Medical Oncology (173).
