MCC releases special stray vacancy round results for NEET SS 2025 counselling

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee, MCC has released the final seat allotment result for the NEET SS 2025 Special Stray Vacancy Round, providing candidates with details of the super-speciality seats allotted across participating medical colleges and hospitals.
The result covers allotments to DM, MCh and DrNB/DNBSS super-speciality courses. The result document lists candidates according to their rank, qualifying examination group, allotted institute, quota, course and allotment status.
As per the final result, a total of 794 candidates have been allotted seats across several medical and surgical super-speciality disciplines. The allotment list also covers surgical super-specialities.
Further, in a separate notice, Civilian candidates provisionally allotted Super Speciality seats at Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions through the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2025 Special Stray Round were directed to report to their respective institutions for a mandatory medical examination.
According to a notice issued for the 2025-28 academic session, candidates provisionally allotted DM, MCh or DrNB seats at AFMS institutions through the Special Stray Round of MCC's All India counselling had to report to their respective institutions as early as possible and no later than 8:00 AM today, i.e. October 3, 2026, for medical examination.
The notice follows the MCC's earlier communication regarding the result of the Special Stray Round for Super Speciality courses.
The Directorate General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) explained that civilian doctors allotted Super Speciality seats in AFMS institutions through MCC online counselling undergo a medical examination at the time of reporting for admission.
Importantly, the communication also highlighted the post-course service obligation applicable to civilian doctors taking Super Speciality seats in AFMS institutions.
Civilian doctors allotted these seats have a post-course service liability to serve in the Armed Forces Medical Service as Short Service Commission Officers for a minimum period of five years. The medical examination at the time of admission is conducted in view of this service requirement.
