MD Radiodiagnosis seat can cost upto Rs 4.5 crore, MD dermatology Rs 4.2 crore in Rajasthan

Jaipur: The postgraduate medical education in Rajasthan has emerged as one of the most expensive across the country after the private medical colleges across the State have increased the fees for courses like MD Radiodiagnosis and MD Dermatology.
As per the updated fee structure for the National Eligibility-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2025, some of the private medical colleges in the State are charging up to Rs 1.5 crore for select specialities like MD Radiodiagnosis. Therefore, the total cost for a three-year degree course reaches Rs 4.5 crore.
The costliest PG Medical Specialities in Rajasthan, as per the updated fee structure:
MD Radiodiagnosis:
The fee for a three-year MD Radiodiagnosis course will cost Rs 1.5 crore per year under management quota in Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Umarda, and Pacific Medical College and Hospital, Udaipur. Therefore, the total course fee for the three-year duration is Rs 4.5 crore. The annual fees for the MD Radiology course at American International Institute of Medical Sciences have been set at Rs 1.2 crore, taking the total course fees to Rs 3.6 crore for three years.
The annual course fee for the MD Radiodiagnosis course at Geetanjali Medical College is Rs 1.03 crore for both All India and State quota seats.
MD Dermatology:
At PIMS, Umarda, the three-year MD Dermatology course will cost Rs 1.4 crore per year. Therefore, the total course fee is Rs 4.2 crore. It will cost Rs 1.3 crore per year at Pacific Medical College and Hospital, Udaipur, where the students will have to pay a total of Rs 3.9 crore for the entire course. The fees for the MD Dermatology course at Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, Udaipur are Rs 12200200 per year and Rs 3.66 crore for the entire course fee.
MD Dermatology course at Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences & Research will cost Rs 11045000 per year and Rs 3.3 crore for the entire course. The course fee at American International Institute of Medical Sciences is also the same i.e., Rs 11045000 per year.
MD General Medicine:
The fees for the MD General Medicine Course at PIMS Umarda is Rs 1.3 crore per year and Rs 3.9 crore for the entire course. The same amount is charged by Pacific Medical College and Hospital, Udaipur as well.
MS Obstetrics and Gynecology:
The total yearly fee for MS Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pacific Medical College, Udaipur, is Rs 13750000 and the yearly fee is Rs 1.3 crore at PIMS Umarda.
MD Paediatrics:
As per the fee structure, the annual fee for the MD Paediatrics course at PIMS Umarda and Pacific Medical College, Udaipur, is Rs 1.1 crore and Rs 1.15 crore, respectively. Therefore, the total fee for the three-year course at these two institutes is Rs 3.3 crore and Rs 3.45 crore respectively.
Apart from the tuition fees, the students also have to pay additional mandatory charges including a one-time security fee, admission fee, and annual hostel fees etc. They have to pay these charges at the time of admission and taking all these additional charges into account, the overall expenses get increased as well.
