NEET 2024 retest Provisional Answer Key OUT, Here's How To Challenge
New Delhi- National Testing Agency (NTA) has uploaded the provisional answer key, scanned images of the OMR answer sheet and recorded responses for the re-examination of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (UG)- 2024. The provisional answer key for the re-examination of the NEET (UG) – 2024 examination, scanned images of the OMR answer sheet and recorded responses have been uploaded on the official website of NTA.
NTA has conducted a re-examination of the NEET (UG)- 2024 examination on 23rd June 2024 for 1563 candidates who suffered loss of time during the originally scheduled examination on 05th May 2024 and were awarded compensatory marks on the recommendation of the High Powered Committee.
For the convenience of the candidates, the scanned image of the OMR answer sheet has been sent to the registered e-mail address of the candidates given by them while submitting the online application form for NEET (UG) – 2024.
As per the public notice, the details for the challenge are as follows-

Candidates are being allowed to challenge online against the provisional answer key by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs.200/- for each challenged answer. Candidates can also submit representation against the OMR grading by paying a nonrefundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- per question challenged.
The payment of the processing fee should be made through a Debit card/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm. No challenge will be entertained without receipt of the processing fee. The Challenges will not be accepted through any other mode.
The release further informed that the challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject Experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The key finalized by the Experts after the challenge will be final.
PROCEDURE FOR CHALLENGE OF ANSWER KEY
STEP 1- Please go to the website.
STEP 2- Click ‘Apply for Answer Key Challenge (s).
STEP 3- Select the Test Booklet Code.
STEP 4- Login with the Application Number and Date of Birth and enter the Security PIN as displayed and submit.
STEP 5- The number next to the Question under the column ‘Correct Option ’ stands for the most appropriate Answer Key to be used by the NTA.
STEP 6- If the candidate wishes to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Options given in the next four columns by clicking the check box
STEP 7- If the candidate wants to upload supporting documents they can select ‘Choose File ’ and upload (all documents are to be put in a single PDF file).
STEP 8- After clicking the desired option, for Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology for NEET(UG) - 2024, ‘Save your Claim’ and move to the next screen.
STEP 9- Then a screen of challenges will display.
STEP 10- Click ‘Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally’.
STEP 11- Select Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee @ ₹ 200/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm.
STEP 12- After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt.
PROCEDURE FOR CHALLENGE OF OMR ANSWER SHEET GRADING AND RECORDED RESPONSES
STEP 1- Please go to the website.
STEP 2- Login with the Application Number and Date of Birth and enter the Security PIN as displayed and submit.
STEP 3- Select the “OMR Challenge” in the left pane.
STEP 4- Click on the OMR Challenge Link.
STEP 5- Select the Question(s) for which the candidate wishes to challenge the Recorded Response.
STEP 6- The number next to the Question under the column ‘Captured Response as per OMR Sheet’ stands for the option opted by the Candidates in the OMR Answer Sheets.
STEP 7- After selecting any Question for the Challenge, three options under the column ‘Candidate’s Claim’ will appear.
STEP 8- If the candidate wishes to challenge this option, they may use the Options given in the ‘Candidate’s Claim’ column
STEP 9- After clicking your desired option, for Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology for NEET (UG) - 2024, scroll down, ‘Submit’, and move to the next nextscreen.
STEP 10- Then a screen of challenges will display.
STEP 11- Click on ‘Submit' and Pay Fee Finally’.
STEP 12- Select Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee @ ₹ 200/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm.
STEP 13- After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt.
