NEET 2025: 1,15,900 MBBS seats across 775 Medical Colleges up for grabs
MCC releases MBBS seat matrix
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially released the tentative list of medical colleges and MBBS seat matrix for NEET 2025 counselling.
According to the notification, a total of 775 medical colleges across 35 states and union territories will participate in the undergraduate medical admission process this year.
As per the seat matrix shared by the National Medical Commission (NMC) with the MCC, a total of 1,15,900 MBBS seats will be available for allotment in the first round of counselling. This comprehensive seat matrix includes colleges under the All India Quota (AIQ), State Quotas, Central Universities, Deemed Universities, and AIIMS/JIPMER institutions.
All institutes and State Counselling Authorities involved in the UG Counselling 2025 process are hereby informed that the tentative seat matrix was officially shared by NMC via email dated 17th July 2025, the MCC stated in its notice.

Tamil Nadu: 12,000 seats
Karnataka: 12,045 seats
Maharashtra: 11,844 seats
Telangana: 8,915 seats
