NEET 2026: NTA uploads OMR sheets, opens response challenge window till July 15

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has uploaded the Scanned Images of OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Responses for the NEET UG 2026 exam on its official website.
Therefore, to facilitate the candidates, a scanned image of the OMR Answer Sheet has been sent to the registered e- mail address given by the candidates at the time of registration of NEET (UG)-2026. Candidates are being allowed to make an online response challenge till July 15, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.
According to the public notice issued by the NTA in this regard, if any discrepancy is noticed, candidates may submit an online challenge by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per challenged response through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. Challenges submitted without payment or through any mode other than online will not be entertained.
The candidates are required to visit the official website of NEET NTA and view the details and challenge, if required. Candidates can log in to the official website using their credentials to view their scanned OMR sheets and recorded responses. To ensure data security and privacy, a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) system has been implemented; candidates will be prompted to enter a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to their registered mobile number and email address before gaining access.
CANDIDATES WORKFLOW & SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR OMR CHALLENGE
If a candidate finds any discrepancy between the answers they marked on their physical OMR sheet and the responses read/recorded by the scanning agency, or an error in the capturing of vital data fields from their OMR sheet, they may challenge the recording through the online portal by following the procedure below-
STEP 1- Login & Authentication.
STEP 2- Accessing the Challenge Portal.
STEP 3- Identifying and Selecting Discrepancies.
STEP 4- Fee Payment.
STEP 5- Submission & Acknowledgement.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHALLENGING THE OMR RESPONSES BY THE CANDIDATES
1 Candidates are advised to carefully review the scanned image of their OMR Answer Sheet before submitting any challenge.
2 Only responses marked by completely darkening the appropriate circle using a Blue or Black Ball Point Pen will be treated as valid OMR responses.
3 Only one circle should be darkened for each question. If more than one circle is marked or darkened for a question, the response will be treated as invalid and will attract negative marking, in accordance with the applicable marking scheme.
4 Once a response has been marked on the OMR Answer Sheet, it cannot be changed. Any overwriting, alteration, or attempt to modify the marked response may affect its reading by the OMR Scanner.
5 Stray spots, stray marks, partial markings, or any other unintended marks on the OMR Answer Sheet may be incorrectly interpreted by the OMR Scanner.
6 The response recorded by the OMR Scanner is based solely on the markings made by the candidate on the OMR Answer Sheet.
7 Candidates should submit a challenge only after carefully comparing the scanned image of the OMR Answer Sheet with the response displayed on the portal.
8 Any challenge submitted by a candidate will be processed in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
9 If it is found that a challenge has been submitted based on a manipulated or tampered scanned image of the OMR Answer Sheet, the matter shall be treated as a case of Unfair Means (UFM). Appropriate action, including debarment and/or legal proceedings, may be initiated in accordance with the applicable rules.
