NEET: CENTAC invites applications for MBBS, BDS, BAMS admissions 2026, register now

Puducherry: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), under the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Puducherry, has invited online applications from NEET UG qualified candidates for admission to MBBS, BDS and BAMS for the academic year 2026-27.
Eligible candidates must complete the online application process by August 6, 2026, at 5 pm.
The admission process covers first-year seats in government and self-financing medical, dental, and Ayurveda colleges situated in the Union Territory of Puducherry.
For MBBS and BDS admissions, applications have been invited under the Government Quota, Puducherry Telugu Minority Quota, All India Management Quota and NRI Quota.
For BAMS admissions, seats will be available under the Government Quota, while All India Management Quota admissions will begin from Round 3.
ELIGIBILITY OF CANDIDATES FOR VARIOUS QUOTAS AVAILABLE IN UG NEET COURSES
Government Quota seats are open to residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry.
Seats under the All India Management, National Self-Supporting and Self-Supporting quotas are open to residents of Puducherry, candidates from other states and eligible Overseas Citizens of India who obtained OCI status before March 4, 2021.
The Telugu Minority Management Quota is restricted to residents of Puducherry. NRI seats in MBBS and BDS are open to NRI, NRI-sponsored, OCI, OCI-sponsored and foreign national candidates.
APPLICATION FEE
For Government Quota applications, Puducherry residents belonging to the SC, ST or PwD categories must pay Rs 500, while other candidates must pay Rs 1,000.
The application fee for the Management Quota is Rs 2,000. Candidates applying under NRI, NRI-sponsored, OCI, OCI-sponsored or foreign national categories must pay Rs 5,000.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1 Candidates are deemed to have read, agreed and accepted the terms and conditions specified in the CENTAC UG NEET 2026 Information Brochure while submitting the online application form.
2 Candidates should take due care while filling in their details in the online application.
3 Candidates should ensure that they enter the NEET All India Rank (AIR) against the NEET rank based on the NEET 2026 Score Card while filling up the application.
4 Candidates claiming “Residence of Puducherry” shall upload the following renewed certificates dated on or after 01.01.2026, as applicable-
i Residence Certificate
ii Community Certificate (Submission of Certificates obtained in the format applicable to Central Educational Institutions will not be entertained).
iii EWS Quota (Certificate issued by Revenue Department on or after 01.04.2026).
iv Income Certificate obtained on or after 01.04.2026.
v Regional Reservation (Karaikal / Mahe / Yanam), as applicable.
vi Special Reservation (as applicable)-
a Freedom Fighter (FF) issued by Freedom Fighter Cell
b UDID card for Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD)
c Ex-Serviceman (ESM) issued by Department of Sainik Welfare
d Meritorious Sports Person (MSP)
e Government School Quota – (Transfer Certificate issued by the school last studied for continuous study in Government Schools run by Govt. of Puducherry from Stds.1 to 12).
vii Telugu Minority Quota Certificate - (T.C. / Certificate issued as per School records stating Mother Tongue as TELUGU from the school last studied).
5 Candidates should verify that all details are entered correctly and in complete shape before submitting the application.
6 Applications of candidates that are found to be claiming nativity/residency in multiple states or have furnished fake certificates for availing quota benefits will be rejected, notwithstanding initiation of legal action in accordance with law in force.
7 Submission of duplicate applications by a Single Candidate will result in rejection of both the applications and cancellation of candidature.
