NEET PG 2024: MCC Opens Window for NRI Candidates Seeking Nationality Conversion For Round 2 Counselling
New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the nationality conversion window for National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) for Round 2 counselling 2024.
As per the official notice in this regard, MCC has informed that candidates who claim to be NRIs and want to change their nationality from Indian to NRI must submit certain documents in support of their claim. The nationality conversion document submission will be from 10:00 AM today i.e. November 29th, 2024, to 10:00 A.M. on December 1st, 2024.
The documents should be submitted through email ID, which is mentioned in the notice, however, emails received before/after the stipulated time will not be considered. Candidates are also advised to send all documents enclosed in a single mail, within the stipulated time.
Below are the documents to be submitted by the candidates-
1 Document such as the Passport or Visa of the sponsorer, claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI.
2 Relationship of NRI with the candidate.
3 Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/ she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate duly notarized.
4 Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer (Certificate from the Consulate issued within the last 06 months).
5 NEET Score Card of the candidate.
6 Family Tree notarized by Tehsildar.
However, all the candidates are being instructed to provide all the certificates in English. If any certificate is in a regional language, a copy of its English translation should be enclosed.
The conversion of the Nationality of candidates from ‘Indian’ to ‘NRI’ is ‘Provisional’ based on the documents submitted by the candidates which will be verified by the allotted college authorities at the time of reporting and the Embassy Certificate from the sponsorer may be sent to the Ministry of External Affairs/ respective High Commissions for verification. If found ‘FAKE’ the Provisional Allotment of the candidate may be cancelled and legal action might be initiated by the competent authority.
