NEET PG 2024 Results Expected Soon, Know NBE Tie-Breaker Criteria
New Delhi- The National Board of Medical Examinations (NBEMS) is expected to release the results of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) anytime soon. NEET PG 2024 result date has not been announced yet but is expected to be released in the last week of August 2024.
Earlier through the notice, NBEMS has informed that the authority has adopted the process which is currently being used by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi for various examinations conducted in more than one shift, including but not limited to Institutes of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET), in preparation of result for NEET-PG 2024.
Moreover, as per the NEET PG 2024 information bulletin, in case two or more candidates get the same marks, the merit position will be determined using the following tie-breaker criteria in descending order-
1 Candidate who has a greater number of correct responses in the question paper will be placed in a better merit position.
2 Candidates with fewer negative responses in the questionnaire will be placed in a better merit position.
3 Older candidates will be placed in better merit positions.
4 Candidates securing higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examinations will be placed at a better merit position. In case of Indian Citizens/ OCI who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from outside India, their FMG Examination marks (in percentage) will be considered instead of aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examination.
Furthermore, to participate in counselling for allotment of PG seats, General/EWS need to secure 50th percentile, SC/ST/OBC (including PWDs of SC/ST/OBC) need to secure 40th percentile and UR PWDs need to secure 45th percentile.
NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted on 11th August 2024 in two shifts i.e. from 9 am to 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm in 185 test cities across the country.
