NEET PG 2025 Result likely by September 3, Check Tie-Breaker criteria

New Delhi- The National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) exam for the academic year 2025 was concluded on August 03, 2025.

As per the schedule, the National Board of Examination of Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will release the NEET PG 2025 exam result by September 3, 2025. The result will be released on the official website of NBE, and candidates who took the exam will be able to check their results online.

STEPS TO CHECK NEET PG 2025 RESULT

STEP 1- Go to the official website of NBE.

STEP 2- Select 'NEET PG' from the buttons given at the bottom.

STEP 3- Click on the NEET PG result PDF.

STEP 4- A list will open on your screen.

STEP 5- Scroll through the list and find your roll number.

STEP 6- Type your roll number.

STEP 7- Check your NEET PG result.

STEP 8- Save the PDF of NEET PG 2025 result.

TIE BREAKER CRITERIA

Meanwhile, as per the NEET PG 2025 information bulletin released by the NBEMS, in the event of two or more candidates obtaining same normalized marks, one or more of the following tie breaking criteria shall be used for resolving the tie. The merit position shall be determined using following tie breaker criteria in descending order-

1 Candidate having overall lesser number of negative responses in the entire question paper will be placed at a better merit position i.e. will get a higher rank in the merit list.

2 Candidate having lesser number of negative responses in the Section A of the question paper will be placed at a better merit position i.e. will get a higher rank in the merit list.

3 Candidate having lesser number of negative responses in the Section B of the question paper will be placed at a better merit position i.e. will get a higher rank in the merit list.

4 Candidate having lesser number of negative responses in the Section C of the question paper will be placed at a better merit position i.e. will get a higher rank in the merit list.

5 Candidate having lesser number of negative responses in the Section D of the question paper will be placed at a better merit position i.e. will get a higher rank in the merit list.

6 Candidate having lesser number of negative responses in the Section E of the question paper will be placed at a better merit position i.e. will get a higher rank in the merit list.

7 Candidate securing higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examinations will be placed at a better merit position i.e. will get a higher rank in the merit list. In case of Indian Citizens/ OCI who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from outside India, their FMG Examination marks (in percentage) shall be considered in lieu of aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examination. It is to be noted that the aggregate marks in percentage shall be provided by the applicant while submitting her/his application form to NBEMS. The marks shall be provided as an accurate value rounded down to two decimals.

The aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examinations/ marks obtained in FMGE as provided by the candidate in his/her NEET-PG application form shall be verified against the original credentials at the time of admission by the counseling/ admitting authority. In an event it is noted that the information provided in the NEET-PG application form is incorrect and this criterion has been utilized to resolve the tie of the concerned candidate, his/her candidature for NEET-PG shall be cancelled. If tie could not not be resolved even after applying all above-mentioned criteria, date of birth shall be utilized to resolve the tie. The date of birth provided in the NEET-PG application form must be accurate and duly supported with the documents which will be verified at the time of admission to PG course.

8. An Older candidate will be placed at better merit position i.e. will get a higher rank in the merit list.
