NEET PG counselling 2025: NTRUHS invites applications for stray vacancy round, details

Andhra Pradesh: Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh, has issued two special notifications inviting online applications for the Stray Vacancy Round counselling for Post Graduate Medical Degree and Diploma courses for the academic year 2025-26 under both the Management Quota and the Competent Authority Quota.

The move comes in continuation of the earlier notification and aims to fill vacant seats left after completion of Phase-III (Mop-Up) counselling. Under the Management Quota (S1/S2/S3 categories), eligible candidates can submit online applications and upload original scanned documents up to 6:00 PM on February 18, 2026, on the official website of Dr NTRUHS.

To prevent seat blocking, NTRUHS has mandated a refundable security deposit of ₹3,00,000 (MQ) and Rs 50,000/- (CQ) for candidates participating in the Stray Vacancy Round. The deposit will be forfeited if the candidate fails to join the allotted seat. Such candidates will also be debarred from AP State PG counselling for one academic year under both CQ and MQ. The deposit will be refunded if the candidate joins or is not allotted a seat.

Candidates must furnish an undertaking confirming that they are not holding any AIQ/State Quota seat and that they will compulsorily join if allotted.

Simultaneously, NTRUHS has invited non-service candidates for the Stray Vacancy Round under CQ. A refundable security deposit of ₹50,000 is applicable. Forfeited if the candidate forfeits the allotted seat. Candidates will be debarred from AP State PG counselling for one academic year if they fail to report.

SECURITY DEPOSIT AMOUNT

1 Refundable Security Deposit of candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in the Stray Vacancy Round or subsequent rounds, if any, will be forfeited and such candidates shall also be debarred from participating in the A.P. State Counselling for admission to PG Medical Courses under both Competent Authority Quota seats & Management Quota seats for the subsequent 1 (one) academic year.

2 If the candidate joins the allotted seat, the Security Deposit amount will be refunded to the candidate after the closure of admissions.
3 If the candidate is not allotted a seat, the Security Deposit amount will be refunded to the candidate after the closure of admissions.
4 Also, the Security Deposit will be forfeited if the admission gets cancelled for any reason. e.g. in case the candidate gives wrong information at the time of registration on the basis of which a seat may be allotted and later cancelled by the Admission Authorities at the time of reporting, or fails to produce the required documents at the time of admission (within the stipulated time).
WEB OPTIONS
Eligible candidates will have to exercise fresh web options for Stray Vacancy Round. Candidates participating in Stray Vacancy Round will have to furnish an undertaking with respect to allotment of seats at the time of exercising web options

REVISED NEET PG 2025 CUT-OFF CRITERIA

1 General/EWS: 7th percentile- 103 marks.

2 General-PwBD: 5th percentile- 90 marks.

3 SC/ST/OBC (including PwBD): 0th percentile - 40 marks.

Meanwhile, the internship must be completed by July 31, 2025.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

1 The candidates who are not holding a seat or got no seats in Phase-I, Phase-II, Phase-III of counselling (AIQ, State, Deemed) can participate in Stray Vacancy Round.

2 The candidates who have been allotted, but not joined in Phase 1, Phase 2 of State Quota (both CQ & MQ) and Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 of All India Quota are eligible to participate in this stray counselling.

3 A Candidate who has not registered and no choice locked in the Phase 1 or Phase 2 or Phase 3(Mop up) online Counselling will be permitted to attend Stray Round of online Counselling.

NOT ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

1 The candidates who are holding PG (Medical) seat in Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 (Mop Up) of State Counselling (both CQ & MQ) are not eligible to participate in Stray round of counselling.

2 The candidate who is holding a seat allotted in Round 1 & Round 2 and Round 3 in All India Quota/Deemed universities (conducted by MCC/DGHS).

3 The candidates who have been allotted in Phase – III (Mop Up) of State Quota (both CQ & MQ), irrespective of their reporting status, are not eligible to participate in this counselling.

4 The candidates who have been allotted in the stray round of All India Quota/Deemed universities (conducted by MCC/DGHS) are not eligible to participate in the State Stray Round of counselling.

5 If a candidate is allotted a seat in the Stray round, he/she has to compulsorily report & join the allotted seat/college else he/she shall be debarred from participating in A.P. State Counselling for admission to PG Medical Courses under both Competent Authority Quota seats & Management Quota seats for the subsequent 1 (one) academic year. Online application form without uploading mandatory Certificates, Passport size photo, signature, or incomplete information will be automatically rejected and will not be considered for determining the Merit position in respective categories using NEET PG-2025 Rank.

Registration along with uploading of Scanned Original certificates and exercising of web options will be permitted only once, irrespective of the Number of counselling. No separate notification will be given for verification of original certificates. Therefore, the candidates should register and upload all the mandatory Certificates without fail.

The Candidates are hereby informed that if they have secured admission in Medical colleges of other States, joined the course and are involved in blocking of the seats the University will initiate legal/criminal action and same will be informed to the NMC/MCC, New Delhi.
