NEET PG counselling 2026: MCC releases round 1 NRI eligible candidates list

New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the list of candidates eligible under the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) category for Round 1 of postgraduate medical counselling for the academic session 2026-27.
The list, titled “NRI List of Eligible Candidates for PG (Round 1) 2026,” contains the roll numbers and names of candidates whose nationality category has been provisionally changed from Indian to NRI for the purpose of participating in the counselling process.
The list has been prepared following scrutiny of the documents submitted by candidates to the MCC under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
However, the committee has clarified that the change in category is provisional and that candidates must produce their original documents during reporting if they are allotted an NRI seat.
According to the notice, the candidates included in the list have been provisionally converted from the Indian category to the NRI category based on the examination of documents submitted to the counselling authority.
The MCC has made it clear that inclusion in the list does not exempt candidates from the requirement of producing original documents at the time of admission.
This means that candidates whose names appear on the list must ensure that the documents supporting their NRI status are available in original form when they report to their allotted institution.
Failure to produce the required documents could result in cancellation of admission, even if a candidate has been allotted a seat under the NRI category.
The eligibility list has been published in a tabular format, with separate columns for candidates' roll numbers and names.
Spread across seven pages, the document enables applicants to check whether their requests for conversion to the NRI category have been provisionally accepted for Round 1 of NEET PG counselling.
Candidates can verify their status by locating their names and corresponding roll numbers in the published list.
