NEET PG Counselling: UP DGME notifies on seat resignation deadline ahead of stray vacancy round choice filling

Lucknow: The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has issued an important notification regarding the resignation process for candidates admitted through the First, Second, and Third rounds of UP NEET PG 2025 counselling.
As per the notice issued, candidates admitted in MD/MS/Diploma/DNB courses through the earlier rounds of online counselling who wish to resign from their allotted seats must complete the process in person at the nodal centre where they completed admission formalities.
The DGME has specified that candidates intending to surrender their seats must submit their resignation by February 21, 2026, up to 12:00 noon. The resignation will be accepted only if the candidate appears physically at the concerned nodal centre and completes all required formalities.
The notice clearly states that no resignation will be accepted through any other mode, including email or any indirect communication.
The resignation process will be governed by the provisions mentioned in the Government Order related to UP NEET PG 2025 counselling, dated June 6, 2025.
Candidates participating in subsequent counselling rounds are advised to strictly adhere to the prescribed timeline and procedure. The schedule has been issued in accordance with the timeline prescribed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, for NEET PG admissions.
