NEET PG: DME Gujarat issues stray round schedule, 35 seats vacant after round 3

Gujarat: The Admission Committee for Professional Post-Graduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC), Government of Gujarat, has issued an official advertisement inviting applications for the 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round for admission to first-year MD, MS and Diploma courses for the academic year 2025-26.

According to the advertisement, candidates can purchase the PIN online until 5:00 PM today, February 20, 2026. Online registration and document uploading can also be completed until 10:00 PM today. Following this, the document verification and submission process will continue at the Help Centre until 12:00 PM on February 21, 2026. Below is the detailed schedule-

The registration process is open for eligible National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2025 qualified candidates seeking admission under Government, Management, and NRI quota seats in Government and self-financed medical colleges across Gujarat. However, candidates allotted a seat in Round 03 are not eligible to participate in this round.

Candidates, who are qualified in NEET-PG-2025 and are eligible as per respective council and admission rules of Gujarat State, only for those candidates who have not Registered in Round 01 or Round 02 or Round 03 OR who have been allotted a seat in Round 02 but their admission have not been confirmed (Exited with forfeiture of refundable security deposit) and have not Registered in Round 03 can apply.

Meanwhile, for Online Registration, a PIN can be purchased online from the official website of DME Gujarat for a payment of Rs 3,000/- (Nonrefundable) + Rs 25,000/- (Refundable Security Deposit) = Total Rs 28,000/-.

However, candidates who have purchased the Online PIN by paying Rs 28000/- in Round 01 or Round 02 or Round 03 and have not done online registration/ documents verification & not submitted photocopies of documents at the Help Centre after completing online registration, need not purchase the online PIN again. They only need to verify documents and submit photocopies at the Help Centre.

This 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round provides another opportunity for eligible PG aspirants who could not secure admission in earlier counselling rounds.

List of Original Documents to be submitted-

1 Allotment Letter of ACPPGMEC.

2 Tuition Fee Receipt showing the paid one-term (6 months) fees at Axis Bank.

3 All-year attempt-wise MBBS Marksheets.

4 Internship completion certificate on or before Dt. 31/07/2025.

5 Copy of NEET-PG Marksheet of the current academic year 13. Provisional Registration, State Medical Council, or Medical Council of India (In case of fresh candidates only who have just completed their internship)/Permanent Registration of State Medical Council, or Medical Council of India (In case of old pass-out candidates).

6 Document showing Date & Place of Birth & Indian Citizenship (School leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate--compulsory for all candidates & Birth Certificate/ Passport--If birth place not mentioned in School leaving certificate/Transfer Certificate).

7 For SEBC, ST and SC Category: Caste certificate issued by the Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only.

8 For SEBC Category: Non-creamy layer certificate (Parishistha ‘4’ in Gujarati/English) issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only as per Govt. norms: Issued on/after Dt: 01/04/2023, valid for 2025-26, (for Gujarati language certificate) Issued date on/after Dt: 01/04/2025, valid for 2025-26 (for English language certificate).

9 For EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) Category: EWS certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only as per Govt. norms: Issued on/after Dt: 01/04/2023, valid for 2025-26, (for Gujarati language certificate) Issued date on/after Dt: 01/04/2025, valid for 2025-26 (for English language certificate).

10 Copy of Passport - if Citizenship is Dual/ Foreign.

11 Photocopy of Disability Certificate issued by Competent Authority.

12 12th Marksheet (For candidates who have done MBBS outside Gujarat)

13 Domicile certificate of Gujarat state: For candidates who have done MBBS outside Gujarat but within India (only if birthplace is outside Gujarat).

PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION

1 PIN can be purchased online from the websiteby paying Rs 3000/- (Non-refundable) + Rs 25,000/- (Refundable Security Deposit) = Total Rs 28,000/-.

2 All the candidates are hereby informed that all the activities of admission described here can be performed within the stipulated time limit as declared by the Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC) and refer to the admission schedule declared by ACPPGMEC from time to time.

3 The candidates, who have qualified NEET-MD/MS of the current academic year and are eligible as per the admission rules of Gujarat State, have to visit the website from anywhere on the internet for Online Form Registration.

4 For online form registration candidate has to click “Medical /Dental” under “Post Graduate Admission” A new window will appear on the computer screen.

5 Click the “Log-in for Post-Graduate Medical Admission” button. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

6 Click on “Purchase PIN” to purchase an online PIN. A new window will appear on the computer screen. Read the instructions carefully before purchasing a PIN online from the website. PIN can be purchased by paying Rs. 3000/- (Non-Refundable) + Rs 25,000/- (Refundable Security Deposit) = Total Rs 28,000/-.

Along with this, the Director of Medical Education (DME) Gujarat has also released the official list of vacant seats after Round 3 counselling for MD, MS, Diploma and DNB admissions for the academic year 2025-26.

According to the vacant seats details, a total of 35 MD seats remain vacant under the State Quota (GQ) across various government medical colleges in Gujarat. All 35 seats are under the Open (OP) category of the Government Quota, with no vacancies reported under SC, ST, SEBC, or EWS categories for these disciplines.
