NEET PG- MCC specifies Eligibility Criteria for Stray Vacancy Round

New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the eligibility criteria of candidates for the stray vacancy round of PG counselling. MCC has started the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) stray vacancy round counselling for the academic year 2024-25 from today i.e. February 12, 2025.
As per the notice, candidates who are not holding any seat either in the All India Quota (AIQ) or State Quota are eligible to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round of PG Counselling 2024 to be conducted by MCC.
Meanwhile, candidates who did not join their seats allotted through MCC in Round 3 are ‘Not Eligible’ to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round of PG Counselling 2024 of MCC. However, ‘Not Reported’ candidates of Round 3 of MCC counselling can participate in state PG counselling. Also, candidates who have joined State quota seats through earlier Rounds are not eligible to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round of PG Counselling 2024 of MCC.
Moreover, the Security Deposit of candidates who do not join their allotted seat in the Stray Vacancy Round will be forfeited and such candidates will be debarred from taking the NEET exam for the next year. Additionally, the Data of Joined candidates of Round 3 conducted by MCC will be shared with state counselling authorities and such candidates will be debarred from taking admission in state quota counselling.
