NEET PG Mop Up Round Postponed: CENTAC
Puducherry: NEET PG mop-up round postponed, announced Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC). The details related to round 2 have also been released.
As per the notice, mop-up counseling for PG Medical / Dental courses scheduled on 18th November 2022 and 19th November 2022 is postponed. This is done because Medical Counselling Committee has extended the schedule for the mop-up round of PG Medical / Dental All India Quota (AIQ) counseling.
Candidates note that fresh dates will be intimated later based on the completion of All India Quota Counselling.
The notice states, "The Medical Counselling Committee has extended the schedule for the Mop-Up Round of NEET PG Medical / Dental All India Quota (AIQ) counseling. Accordingly, the CENTAC Mop-up counseling for PG Medical / Dental courses scheduled on 18th November 2022 and 19th November 2022 is postponed. Due to completing All India Quota Counseling, fresh dates will be intimated later."
As per the guidelines of NMC for PG (medical admission), candidates who have joined up to round 2 of AIQ or state quota will not be eligible to participate in the further rounds of AIQ or state quota from the academic year 2022-23. The round 2 admitted list of PG medical courses waswas published on the CENTAC website on 11th November 2022. The candidates will not be allowed to vacate the seat after the last date of joining the college and participate in further rounds of counseling.
The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) conducts NEET-PG and MDS counseling. It is a common admission portal for all the colleges of Puducherry and is established by the Government of Puducherry. Under this, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and appeared in such a qualifying examination are eligible for admission. There are various courses under its umbrella.
Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that CENTAC invited new applications for MBBS, BDS, and BAMS courses for the academic year 2022-23. New applications were invited for Government and Self Financing Medical / Dental and Veterinary colleges in the UT of Puducherry under Government / All India (Management) / Minority/ NRI and Self–Supporting (SS) Quota. The candidates could apply till 13th November 2022, 10:00 pm.
