NEET SS 2024 Admissions: AFMS revises eligibility criteria, seat matrix, Details

New Delhi- The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has made two amendments concerning Superspeciality admissions at AFMS institutions through common counselling by the DGHS, MoHFW for the academic year 2024.
As per the notice issued by the AFMS in this regard, candidates must have MBBS & MD/MS/DNB Degrees registered with the State Medical Council or NMC. Students who have completed/ are completing Post-Graduation by 30 Apr 2025 are eligible for admission along with a Provisional Registration Certificate.
Although, as per the SS Counselling 2024 Information Bulletin, students who have completed/ are completing Post-Graduation by 31 Dec 2024 were earlier eligible for admission along with a Provisional Registration Certificate.
Meanwhile, through another notice, AFMS has informed that now a total of 8 seats are vacant across 3 DNB SS Courses, i.e. Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology and Endocrinology. Of these, a total of 3 seats each are vacant in Surgical Oncology and Medical Oncology and a total of 2 seats are vacant in Endocrinology courses.
Earlier, a total of 5 seats were vacant across these DNB SS Courses. Of these, a total of 2 seats each were vacant in Surgical Oncology and Medical Oncology, and 1 seat was vacant in Endocrinology courses.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) officially announced the participation of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions in the NEET SS Counselling 2024, inviting eligible candidates to apply for admission to various DM/MCh/DNB (SS) courses.
AFMS conducts Post-doctoral and Super Speciality training at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi, primarily to cater for the requirement of Super Specialists in the Armed Forces. After the introduction of Common Counselling, all DMMCh seats at AFMC Pune and DNB-SS seats at AH (R&R), Delhi Cantt are a part of the common counselling at the national level under Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), DGHS, MoHFW.
