NEET SS Counselling: MCC issues notice, lists of candidates on 2024 session security deposit refunds

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), has issued an notice regarding the pending security deposit refunds for candidates who participated in Super Speciality Counselling 2024.
The notice directs candidates whose refunds remain pending to submit a duly notarised affidavit in the prescribed format to facilitate the refund process.
According to the notice, the directive has been issued in continuation of an earlier notification concerning unresolved security deposit refund cases. MCC stated that the candidates listed in the annexure attached to the notice have not yet received their security deposit refunds and must complete the required documentation to initiate processing.
The Committee has instructed affected candidates to submit the details in the form of a duly notarised affidavit on court stamp paper. Candidates who had previously submitted the affidavit have been asked to re-forward their earlier email and clearly mention their name and roll number in the email body to enable easy identification of their case.
As per the notice, the completed affidavit should be emailed, with a copy marked to finance MCC. The committee has advised candidates to submit the required documents at the earliest to avoid further delays in receiving their refunds. The Committee also cautioned that incomplete or incorrectly submitted documents may result in additional delays in processing the refund claims.
The prescribed details require candidates to provide details including their NEET roll number, application number, counselling year, security deposit amount, and bank account information. Candidates must also attach supporting documents such as a copy of their Aadhaar card, NEET admit card, details of the bank account used for payment, details of the account where the refund is to be credited, and a scanned copy of a passbook or cancelled cheque.
The affidavit further requires candidates to declare that they are aware of the refund rules under the MCC counselling scheme. It notes that the security deposit is refundable in cases where a candidate either exercised the free-exit option in Round 1 or reported to the allotted institute after Round 2, subject to the counselling guidelines.
The annexure accompanying the notice contains a list of 587 candidates whose refund status remains marked as “Pending.” The list includes candidates’ roll numbers, names, and refund status details. All candidates named in the annexure have been urged to complete the affidavit submission process to enable MCC to process their pending security deposit refunds.

For each candidate, the list includes the roll number, candidate name, transaction reference number, refund date, refund amount, and refund status.
The refund list shows that ₹2,00,000 has been refunded to each listed candidate, with the refund status marked as "Successful." Transactions have been processed through various payment modes, including HDFC Bank transactions, HLL Fund Transfer, RTGS, and Within HDFC transfers, depending on the payment channel used by the candidate.
Candidates whose names appear in the refund list are advised to verify the transaction details using the reference numbers provided. Those who have not received the credited amount despite being listed may contact their respective banks with the transaction reference for further clarification.
