NEET SS Counselling: MCC Withdraws 12 Super-Speciality Seats from Round 1 Seat Matrix

New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has issued an urgent notice announcing the withdrawal of several super-speciality (SS) seats from the Round 1 seat matrix of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Super Speciality (NEET SS) Counselling for the academic year 2025.
According to the notice, MCC received information from participating institutes requesting the removal of specific seats. These seats will be withdrawn before the processing of the Round 1 seat allotment results. A total of 12 seats have been withdrawn from 2 institutes for the NEET SS round 1 counselling 2025.
All withdrawals have been made based on information received from the respective institutes. Meanwhile, DM Medical Oncology seats were mistakenly listed under the Medical Group instead of the Medical Oncology Group.
Therefore, in view of the above changes, MCC announced that the choice filling portal was temporarily halted from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM on March 16, 2026, to incorporate the necessary updates in the seat matrix.
