NEET SS: MCC Allows INI Allotted Candidates to Resign Seats Till 15 July Without Forfeiture
New Delhi- Through a notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed that all the INI allotted candidates can resign from their seats upto 05:00 PM of 15 July 2025. The resignation of INI candidates will be without forfeiture of the security deposit. However, once resigned, the INI allotted candidates will not be able to participate in further rounds of SS Counselling 2024.
As per the notice, the INI allotted candidates who want to resign their Round 1 or Round 2 seats allotted through MCC should send their INI-SS rank letter along with an undertaking to MCC via email from today, i.e. 11th July 2025, 03:00 PM to 15 July 2025, 12:00 Noon. Candidates who will mail along with the required documents will only be allowed to resign from their joined seats. However, such candidates will not be eligible to participate in further rounds of SS Counselling 2024 to be conducted by MCC.
Meanwhile, it is to be noted that the Stray Round of SS Counselling 2024 will be an upgradation round. Candidates of Round-1 & Round-2 joined so far can upgrade themselves in the Stray Round. Hence, candidates are advised to take an informed decision whether they want to resign from their Round 1 or Round-2 seat or want to upgrade.
However, there will be no Resignation in the Stray Round of SS Counselling 2024. If a candidate is not upgraded and the earlier seat is retained, then the candidate will have to continue studying in the retained seat, the notice further stated.
The candidates who wish to resign from their seats may approach their allotted college to resign and collect their original documents within the stipulated time. It should be ensured by the candidates that the resignation letter is generated ‘Online’ from the MCC portal by the college authorities. Any offline resignation taken by the college will be treated as ‘Null & Void’.
Prior to this, MCC had released List III of INI-SS candidates whose resignation has been allowed by the MCC. In this regard, Medical Dialogues had reported that as per the list, a total of 25 INI allotted candidates have been allowed to resign from the Round-1 or Round-2 seats allotted through MCC, after verification of their documents.
