NEET: TN Health Releases Tentative Schedule for Round 2 MBBS, BDS Counselling, Register NOW

NEET: TN Health Releases Tentative Schedule for Round 2 MBBS, BDS Counselling, Register NOW

Tamil Nadu- Tamil Nadu (TN) Health has released a tentative Round 2 counselling schedule for admission to MBBS and BDS degree courses in Government and Management quota (including NRI/NRI lapsed) seats in Tamil Nadu Government Medical/Dental Colleges, ESIC Medical College, KK Nagar, Chennai, Self-financed Medical/Dental Colleges, State Private Universities, Christian Medical College, Vellore and wards of IRT candidates.

As per the schedule, the candidate can Register & pay the application fee till 13 September 2024 upto 05:00 P.M. The Choice Filling & Locking will start from 14 September 2024 at 12:00 noon and will be valid till 16 September 2024 upto 05:00 P.M.

The processing of Seat Allotment will be done on 17 September 2024. After this, the Provisional Result on 18.09.2024 and Final Result on 19.09.2024 will be released. Candidates can download the Provisional Allotment Order From 19 September 2024 to 26 September 2024 at 12:00 noon. Meanwhile, the last date of joining to the allotted colleges is 26 September 2024 at 05:00 P.M.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING ALLOTMENT ORDER

1 The freshly allotted candidate for MBBS seats in all colleges under all categories and BDS seats in Government Dental Colleges has to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order through online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking or RTGS.

2 The Selected candidates belonging to SC/SCA/ST/SCC who have been allotted seats in Govt. Quota and Management Quota are exempted from paying tuition fees for downloading the allotment order if the annual income of Parents/Guardians is less than 2.5 Lakhs.

3 The Selected candidate for BDS seats in Self Financing Dental Colleges has to pay the Tuition Fee at the time of admission to the colleges.

4 The re-allotted candidates who already paid the tuition fee in the Round-I of online counselling, have to pay the difference (if any) amount only.

5 Fee structure is available on the TN Health official website.

6 All candidates should make sure, sufficient funds are available in their bank account with expanded credit/Transaction limit while remitting their Tuition Fee.

7 The allotted/re-allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.

REPORTING TO ALLOTTED COLLEGE

1 The Certificate Verification will be done in the selected colleges itself.

2 The candidates should produce their original certificates in person at the time of joining in their selected Colleges along with a scanned copy of the original certificates for verification.

3 If the candidate does not report to the Head of the Institution to which they are allotted on or before the time and date specified, their selection and/or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.

4 The Candidate selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned College that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts, or misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.

The candidates are advised to be in touch with the TN Health official website for the Schedule / latest updates / Results / Notices / News & Events about the counselling as the Selection Committee will not be individually contacting the candidates for the same. No communication will be directly sent to the Candidates, therefore, the candidates are advised to be in touch with the website regularly for any updates.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1 Candidates who had registered for Round 1 and did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again. Also, candidates who have been allotted but not joined in Round 1 need not register again.

2 Candidate who have joined the seats and wish to opt for upgradation need not pay the registration fee again but they have to log in during the registration window to confirm their participation in Round 2 to include their seats as virtual vacancies.

3 Fresh registration is permitted in Round -II for those candidates who have not registered in Round 1 with full payment of fees. However, candidates should have already applied to the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee and their names should be in the Merit List published.

4 Candidate who wishes to retain their seats need not participate in this Round.

5 If opted for and upgraded in Round 2, the candidate has to relinquish the seat from Round 1 and join Round 2 allotted seat. He/She will not have any rights over the Round-I seats.

6 Round- II choice filling will follow the registration and candidates who wish for upgradation, un-allotted candidates and not joined candidates have to fill their choices.

7 Candidates should be careful while choosing and it is advisable to choose preferred colleges only.

8 Candidate could edit their Choice(s) but once the candidate locks their choice(s) during the online counselling, it cannot be changed later.

9 If the candidate is re-allotted in Round 2, then the MBBS/BDS seat allotted to candidates during Round 1 of Counselling will be allotted to other candidates in descending order, not in ascending order.

10 Candidates can discontinue the course before the stipulated resignation date. These candidates will be eligible to attend the subsequent Rounds of online counselling for the academic year 2024-2025.

11 If the candidate has joined but Discontinued the course after the stipulated date of resignation he /she will be eligible to attend the Round-3 of online counselling for the academic year 2024-2025, but they will have to forfeit the registration fee and Security Deposit paid by him/her.

12 Candidates who participated in Round-2 but were allotted the same seats will be considered as Retained and have to follow the same Round -2 Rules.

13 Candidates who are freshly allotted seats in Round 2 but who don’t report or join the allotted institute can participate in further Rounds (without forfeiture).

14 Candidates getting upgraded in Round 2 should not have any claim on Round 1 seat, even if they don’t report or join their Round –2 seats.

15 Candidates can edit their choices any number of times before locking, but once locked they will not be allowed to edit.

16 The Selection committee does not take responsibility for Connectivity errors and Procedural errors. 17 Admission to MBBS/BDS degree courses should be made by online counselling based on rank by applying the rule of reservation.

18 Any candidate who has been allotted a seat in Round 1 and has opted for upgradation by registering on the website in Round 2, that allotted seat of Round 1 will be shown as a virtual vacancy in Round 2 and all candidates can fill their choice for the said seat during the choice filling in Round 2. However, such seats will be allotted in Round 2, only if the allotted candidate of Round 1 vacates/upgrades in Round 2 then that virtual vacancy becomes a real vacancy.

19 Candidates will have the option of choice filling for the categories for which they have applied in Round I.

21 If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date i.e.16 September 2024 upto 05.00 PM, their choices will be automatically locked.
