NO NEET for Bachelors in Physiotherapy, occupational therapy admissions 2026-27, GGSIPU to conduct CET

New Delhi: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has announced that admissions to Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session will not be based on NEET UG scores.
This announcement comes following a directive from the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions.
The varsity has stated that the university will conduct its own Common Entrance Test (CET) for admissions, as the mandatory requirement of NEET UG for these courses has been deferred to the next academic year.
"It is implied that the GGS Indraprastha University will not carry out admission in Bachelor of Physiotherapy B.PT and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy B.OT through the merit of NEET UG 2026, as notified in the 'Admission Brochure for Under Graduate (UG) Programmes 2026-27' released on 28.01.2026; and, the online submission of applications forms are on w.e.f. 01.02.2026," the notice read.
"It is important to note that the University shall be carrying out its own Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.PT) and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (B.OT). A separate application form is required to be filled up for admission in these courses (through CET)," the varsity stated in the notice issued on its official website.
Eligibility criteria, relaxation of marks, subjects for Common Entrance Test and Domain Specific Subjects for CUET will be notified in due course of time.
"It may please be noted that all the candidates, who have filled up online application form for admission in B.PT and B.OT (through NEET UG 2026), will be considered as 'applied' for admission in B.PT and B.OT (through CET). And, the portal for submission of online application form for admission in B.PT and B.OT (through NEET UG 2026) will be withdrawn with immediate effect," the notice added.
