PG medical admissions 2025: BFUHS notifies schedule for stray vacancy round

BFUHS Releases Stray Vacancy Round Schedule for Punjab NEET PG 2025

Faridkot: The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has released the detailed schedule for the Stray Vacancy Round of online counselling for admission to MD/MS, PG Diploma, DNB, Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine, and six-month training in Ultrasonography courses under Punjab State NEET PG 2025.

As per the official notification, the process will begin with the display of tentative vacancies on February 20, 2026, followed by fresh registrations, willingness submission, merit list publication, and seat allotment in the subsequent days.

Schedule:

1 Display of tentative vacancy position 20.02.2026
2 Date for fresh online registration/application and deposition of application and security deposit for fresh applications alongwith fee of Rs. 5900 (Rs. 2950 for SC candidates) including 18% GST through university payment portal. (fresh registered candidates will have to submit willingness alongwith security deposit for stray vacancy round online counseling . Failing which their candidature will not be considered. 20.02.2026 to 21.02.2026 upto 2.00 PM
3 The dates for submitting willingness alongwith security deposit for stray Vacancy round of counseling by all the candidates and fresh applicants). The amount of security to be deposited for submitting willingness will be as under: For Government colleges- Rs. 25000/- (Rs. 10000/-for SC/BC/PwD) For Private Colleges- Rs. 2,00000/-
4 Last date of correction/editing in online filled application form. Therefore application will be locked automatically. Once information filled and locked will not be allowed to change in any round of counseling. Note: Since, fresh applications are invited for stray vacancy round of online counseling under NEET PG 2025, hence already registered candidates of 1st, 2nd and 3rd round counseling (if any) who intends to edit any Category/Minority Quota/other particulars will give request/application personally in the Admission Branch, BFUHS upto 21.02.2026 by 2.00 PM alongwith relevant proof for consideration in stray vacancy round of online counseling as last chance. No request shall be entertained through email. Thereafter no request will be entertained. 21.02.2026 upto 2.00 PM
5 Last date for submission of hard copy of admission application form at University office for NRI quota seats. Candidates seeking admission under NRI quota are required to obtain Eligibility Certificate from the University prior to apply. (Application form for obtaining Eligibility certificate and admission application form are separately available on University website.)
6 The candidates who will apply under Sikh Minority/Christian Minority Quota will report to the respective minority institution (SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences, Amritsar/ Christian Medical College, Ludhiana) for verification of minority status. The candidates who have already/got verified their minority status at the time of 1st /2nd/ 3rd round counseling, need not report to the respective institute for verify again. The candidates, who have already registered under Minority Quota during 1st /2nd/3rd counseling and did not get their minority status verified, can report to the respective institute for verification of their minority status for stray vacancy round of counseling. 21.02.2026 upto 5.00 PM
7 PCMS incentive category candidates will submit hard copy of online Admission Application Form alongwith self attested copies of certificates, NOC and Eligibility Certificate issued by the Competent authority and proof of fee remittance by hand in Admission branch, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. The in service candidates who have submitted NOC during 1st/ 2nd /3rd round need not to submit NOC again.
8 Display of Provisional Merit List of candidates who will submit willingness to participate in stray vacancy round of online counseling 22.02.2026
9 Dates for filling/submitting online choices/preferences of college/specialty through online portal 22.02.2026 to 23.02.2026 Upto 5.00 PM
10 Processing of seat allotment 24.02.2026
11 Display of provisional allotment/Result 25.02.2026
12 Last date/time for submission of objections to provisional allotment (if any) by the NEET PG aspirants through email (pgbfuhs@ggsmch.org). 26.02.2026 upto 12.00 Noon
13 Display of revised provisional allotment/result after any change in provisional allotment due to objections (if any). 26.02.2026
14 The provisionally selected candidates will pay the balance amount of fee (Six month fee after deducting amount of security deposit ) through university payment gateway available on University website and will report to the respective college for joining in the respective allotted college. 27.02.2026 to 28.02.2026

Note: If a candidate is allotted a seat in Stray round, he has to join the allotted seat/college. If the candidate does not join the allotted seat, the security deposit will be forfeited.

Whether Up-gradation is allowed in Stray Vacancy Round counseling

Upgradation is not allowed.

Who are not eligible for Stray Vacancy Round?

Following categories of Candidates are not eligible for Stray Vacancy Round:-

a) Candidates who have not registered.

b) Candidate joined/holding any seat at the time of Stray Vacancy Round.

c) Candidates allotted a seat in Round 3 and NOT REPORTED.

All candidates not falling under above-mentioned categories are eligible.

Note:- The candidates who will be allotted seat by MCC in Stray Vacancy Round of All India Quota, will be debarred from Punjab State Stray Vacancy Round.
