TN Health notifies round 2 NEET PG counselling schedule, choice filling from december 20th

Tamil Nadu: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME), Tamil Nadu, recently released the tentative Round 2 counselling schedule for admissions to Postgraduate Degree/Diploma courses and DNB Post MBBS Diploma and Broad Speciality courses for the 2025-2026 academic session.
The schedules apply to Government Medical Colleges, Government and Management quota seats (including Minority and NRI) in self-financing medical colleges, and 20% and 50% quota seats of Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore.
According to the schedule released by the Tamil Nadu (TN Health), the online registration and payment window for PG Degree/Diploma courses will be open from today i.e December 19, 2025, 6:00 PM to tomorrow i.e. December 21, 2025, 6:00 PM. Following this, the choice filling and locking process will take place from 2:00 PM on December 20 to 6:00 PM on December 21, 2025.
The seat allotment process is scheduled for December 22, 2025, with results to be declared on December 23, 2025. Candidates can download their provisional allotment orders from December 23 to December 30, 2025 (up to 3:00 PM), while the last date for joining the allotted institution is December 30, 2025, 5:00 PM. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1 Candidates who are participating the online choice filling for PG Degree/Diploma Courses will have to remit a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs.1000/- for Government Quota and Rs.1000/- for Management Quota.
2 Candidates who are participating the online choice filling for DNB Courses will have to remit a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs.1000/- for Government Quota.
3 At the time of registration, the candidate will have to pay a Refundable Security Deposit (If already paid, need not pay again) for Government Quota Rs. 30,000/- and for the Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Medical College Rs. 1,00, 000/- for the PG Degree/Diploma Courses.
4 At the time of registration, the candidate will have to paya Refundable Security Deposit (If already paid, need not pay again) for Management Quota Rs 2,00, 000/- for the PG Degree/Diploma Courses.
5 At the time of registration, the candidate will have to pay a Refundable Security Deposit forthe Government Quota of Rs 30,000/- for the DNB Courses.
CHOICE FILLING
1 Candidates should be careful while choice filling.
2 Candidates will have the option of choice filling for all the seats for which they have applied to. For example, if a candidate has applied for both the Government and management quota, he will have choices for both the Government as well as Management quota. The candidates are encouraged to analyse all the choices available and fill in their choices in order of their preference.
3 Candidates can edit their choices any number of times before locking, but once locked, they will not be allowed to edit. Hence, candidates are requested to check their choices and the order of preference before locking.
4 If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date (21 December 2025, 6 PM), their choices will be automatically locked.
VIRTUAL VACANCIES
1 Any Candidate who has been allotted a seat in Round 1 and has opted for re-allotment in Round 2, that allotted seat of Round 1 will be shown as a virtual vacancy in Round 2. Any Candidate can choice lock for the said seat (virtual seat) during the choice filling in Round 2. However, such a seat will be allotted in Round 2 only if the allotted candidate of Round 1 vacates that seat. Thus, that virtual vacancy becomes a real vacancy and it is open to all in the order of merit.
2 Vacancy positions for the Course will be available on the official websites.
3 The selection committee does not take responsibility for connectivity errors and Procedural error.
4 Admission to PG Degree/ Diploma courses shall be made through online counselling on the basis of rank by applying the rule of reservation.
5 Admission to DNB courses shall be made through online counselling on the basis of rank by applying the rule of reservation.
6 Request for change of course or College, from one to another, is not permitted after final locking.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING ALLOTMENT ORDER
1 The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.
2 The Selected candidate can download the Provisional allotment order from the official website of TN Health.
3 The Selected candidate has to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order through online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI.
4 Fee structure is available on the official website of TN Health.
5 All candidates should make sure that sufficient fund is available in their bank account with an expanded credit limit while remitting their Tuition Fee.
6 The Re-allotted candidates who have already paid the tuition fee in the Round-I of online counselling have to pay the difference (if any) amount only.
REPORTING TO THE ALLOTTED COLLEGE
1 The candidates should produce their original certificatesin person at the time of joining their selected Colleges, along with the scanned copy of their original certificates for verification.
2 If you do not report to the Head of the Institution to which you are allotted on or before the time and date specified, your selection and/or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.
3 The Candidate selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of reporting to the concerned College that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts, mis-interpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
