Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education (UP DGME) has released important instructions for candidates participating in the NEET PG counselling process. The list of disability certification centers has also been released.

As per the notice, the counselling process will be carried out by DME with the help of NIC. The candidates should not fall prey to any individual or organization claiming admission. The admission taken through these processes will not be considered. If DME receives any notification related to such admission, then it will be the sole responsibility of the candidates. DME will not be responsible in any case.

The candidates who have qualified in the NEET PG exams will only be eligible for counselling. All the details related to the counselling process will be uploaded on the website www.dgme.up.gov.in/ www.upneet.gov.in.

DME has further notified that candidates of other states who have taken admission in government medical colleges through All India Quota or have upgraded can apply for PG state quota unreserved government seats. Whereas for candidates who have completed their MBBS degree outside India, the process mentioned in the Medical Commission notification on 4th March, 2022 will be followed.

The MBBS candidates who have completed their internship till 31st July 2022 will only be eligible for counselling. The candidate willing to participate in MD/MS/Diploma counseling and DNB will have to do separate registrations. The security deposit will also be paid separately. A separate merit list will be prepared for MD/MS/Diploma and DNB courses.

The allotment will be decided on state merit serial number and online rank if two candidates have the marks. The security deposit of the candidates who will not be allotted any seats in round 1 of the counselling process will be refunded once the entire allotment list is declared. However, if such candidates want to participate in round 2 of the counselling process, they will have to pay the security fee again.

Further, DME has notified that the security deposit of the candidates who will not be allotted any seats in round 2 of the counselling process will be refunded once the entire allotment list is declared. However, if candidates want to participate in the Mop–Up round of the counselling process, they will have to pay the security fee again.

The candidates will have to pay the following security deposit –

1. Government PG Medical seats – Rs 30000

2. Private PG Medical seats – Rs 200000

3. Private PG Dental seats – Rs 100000

Candidates note that if they do not pay the security deposit, then will not be allowed to participate in the counselling process. The candidates who deposit Rs 200000 as security deposit can be considered for government/private seats. And the one who deposits only Rs 30000 will be considered for government seats. The security deposit will not be adjusted in the tuition fee at any cost.

The candidates are requested to go through the notification issued on 23rd September 2022 for NEET PG counselling and go through the website www.dgme.up.gov.in/ www.upneet.gov.in for details related to NEET PG counselling.

Before filling in the choices, the candidates should gather full information about the college application. This includes both private and government colleges. They should also go through the fee structure before filling the choices. The choices have to fill according to the time frame given. Candidates can fill in as many choices as they want. Once the choices are locked, choices are mandatory, or else the allotment process will not be carried out.

Once the seats are allotted to the candidates, they must take the admission compulsorily. The security deposit will be forfeited for the candidates who will not get admitted to the allotted seat. And if they want to participate in the 2nd round of counselling, they will have to pay the security deposit.

At the time of admission, the candidates must submit the necessary documents, including education, caste certificates, other identity proofs, etc. Once the candidates join the allotted seat, the security deposit will be refunded to the same bank account from where it was deposited.

The candidates who belong to the backward classes and scheduled castes will have to submit the proof document after the admission process. The document should be issued either on or after 1st April 2022.

The candidates who have paid the registration fee and completed the registration process for round 1 of counselling process but, due to certain reasons, cannot attend the counselling process can appear for round 2 of the counselling process.
