2 MBBS students arrested over Theft at Nagaon Medical College
Nagaon: For allegedly stealing computers from Nagaon Medical College and Hospital, 2 MBBS students among 3 have been arrested by the police recently.
According to the PTI report, the two arrested are MBBS students of the medical college and the 3rd person is a driver.
Three persons, including two medical students, have been arrested in Assam’s Nagaon district on theft charges, police told PTI.
The accused was “involved in the theft of seven computers from Nagaon Medical College and Hospital on Friday”, Nagaon Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Debajit Das said.

The two students were pursuing an MBBS course at the same college, while the third accused is a driver, who is also a member of a car-lifting gang in the district, he said.
“The arrests were made on Friday and a case was registered. They were produced before a local court on Saturday and were sent to judicial custody,” the OC said.
Nagaon Medical College is situated in Laukhowa Road, Diphalu, Mohkhuli, Nagaon, Assam. Nagaon is the district capital of Nagaon District and is placed in the middle of the Brahmaputra Valley. Nagaon City is well connected to the rest of the Assam through Roads and is situated 120 kms from Guwahati, gateway to Assam.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that Mumbai police arrested a domestic help for allegedly stealing diamond-studded gold jewellery and cash worth a total of Rs 8.5 lakh from the home of a doctor where he was employed.
The theft took place between December 25 and 27 when the doctor and his family went to Lonavala hill station. Yadav finished daily chores before returning to his house during this period, a police official said.
