CMC Ludhiana MBBS Student Goes Missing from Hostel
Ludhiana- Recently, an MBBS student suddenly went missing from the hostel of Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH), Tamil Nadu. Based on the complaint of the hostel warden, a case has been registered against an unknown person on the charge of secret confinement.
According to HT Media News report, an MBBS student named Emmanuel suddenly left his hostel on January 26 and did not return. When it was found that he was missing from the hostel, the warden tried to contact him, but his mobile was switched off. Ishan, a resident of Hyderabad, has been a student of CMCH for the last three years.
After this, hostel warden Dr Kailash Chandra informed the CMCH officials . After receiving the information, the officials also contacted his family, who had no information about him. Following this, the officials called the police and lodged a complaint.
The local police registered the case following a complaint by Dr Chander. the investigating officer Sub-Inspector Narinder Singh, speaking to the HT, said that a case has been registered under Section 127 (6) (wrongful confinement) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Emmanuel's family told the police that he had contacted them via WhatsApp message in which he had informed them that he was reaching Hyderabad. Moreover, a friend of Emmanuel also spoke to him on WhatsApp call and said that the victim had confirmed that he had boarded the train to reach home.
However, the investigating officer has asked his parents to let him talk to the police once he reaches Hyderabad. During the investigation, the police found out that Emmanuel had taken a bus from Sherpur Chowk to go out of the city.
