Culture, Sports, Concerts: JIPMER gears up for Spandan 2025 Extravaganza, check event details

Puducherry: JIPMER is all set to host its flagship intercollegiate fest Spandan 2025 from August 25 to 30.
From the glamour of fashion shows and dance-offs to the thrill of sports tournaments, literary debates, and electrifying concerts, the six-day fest offers young medicos a stage to showcase their talent while forging lasting friendships. This year, Spandan carries a vibrant comic-themed voyage of self-discovery, adding fresh creative flair to its traditional mix of events.
"New horizons of extracurricular as well as academic accomplishment form the backdrop of a stunning frame of collective exuberance - where fresh, young minds and weary veterans alike come together in South India's ultimate melting pot of culture and competition. Write your own story, one panel at a time, as you chart your course along our comic-themed voyage of self-discovery. lake on challenges in Les Jeux, showcase your artistic brilliance in Les Beaux-Arts, engage in thought-provoking debates at Les Littéraines, display your academic prowess at La Lutte, and revel in the enchanting fun of House Informals," the JIPMER event brochure said.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
Registration for the Fest shall only be carried out through the official Spandan website . Delegate registration is mandatory for participation in any event during the fest (exceptions are mentioned under individual event descriptions).
♦ Delegate cards are of three tiers (refer to Delegate Tiers page).
♦ Individual club passes are available for sports, culturals and literary events (refer To Club passes page)
♦ After registering as a delegate, a unique Delegate ID will be assigned to each participant.
♦ Participants can register for different events as well as for accommodation and food on the Spandan website with their unique Delegate ID.
♦ You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours after registering as a delegate and for each individual event following completion of the payment.
♦ In case you encounter any problems or discrepancies during the registration process, contact the Public Relations team.
♦ On-spot registration will be open for selected events subject to the availability of slots.
ON REACHING JIPMER
♦ On arrival, all delegates must produce
1. A valid student ID Card
2. 4 Passport size photographs
3. A letter of approval from the Head of the Institute which carries the names of all the members of the contingent and Indicates the Team Leader.
♦ Head to the reception room and collect your delegate card upon showing the confirmation email and your college ID Card.
♦ After collecting your delegate card, head to the respective event desk in the reception room and show the confirmation email's for each event you have registered for.
♦ On spot registration will also be done in the reception room.
NOTE
♦ Accommodation booking shall be through the SPANDAN 2025 official website.
♦ Both AC and Non-AC rooms can be availed by delagates through the website.
♦ Basic delegate registration is necessary to avail accommodation.
♦ A Google Form must be filled by the delegates prior the payment with their particulars and other details.
♦ The team leader can contact the Accommodation in charges Pop further details.
♦ A refundable caution deposit of Rs.500/- per head for all delegate card holders should be paid in CASH only at the finance desk in the reception room after your arrival.
♦ The accommodation provided will be basic.
♦ Mattresses and buckets will be provided.
♦ Participants are responsible for returning the same in good condition.
♦ Bed sheets and pillow covers will not be provided.
♦ In case mattresses are found to be missing or damaged, a fine of Rs. 4000 shall be levied.
♦ Accommodation for delegates will be allotted by the organizers based on the contingent size, date of arrival and duration of stay-
♦ Non-AC rooms will mostly be provided in dorms and halls (with more than 20 people per hall).
♦ Rooms may have to be shared with delegates of other colleges.
♦ Accommodation and mattresses will be given on a first come first serve basis.
♦ Transportation will not be provided by the organizers.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. A Valid Delegate Card and Ground Pass is mandatory to participate in any event.
2. Delegate Card should be collected at the reception desk after arrival following which Ground Pass con be collected at the sports desk.
3. Necessary documents such as College ID card, Passport Size Photos and Certificate of Age are needed for registration.
4. Eligibility
♦ All MBBS students pursuing UG course or internship are eligible to participate in the events
♦ The eligibility to participate for BSC Nursing, AHS Students/Interns and Resident Doctors varies for every sport, please refer to the specific Sport Rule Book for more Information.
6. In case of team events, all players in the team should be from the same institution overlooked by the same Dean.
7. Necessary equipment needed for certain events (as mentioned in individual sports rule books) should be brought by the players and we are not responsible for providing any such equipment.
8. All individuals/teams must report 30 min prior to the scheduled start of the event; failing to do so shall result in a walkover being offered to the opponent.
9. It is expected of every individual to maintain the decorum of the ground and its premises throughout the course of the event.
10. In case an individual is participating in more than one event, he/she is requested to inform the concerned Sport In-charges in advance to arrange an alternative schedule if possible.
11. If a particular event/sport does not have adequate registrations, it is liable to be cancelled.
12. Any unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to rain, equipment failure, poor playing conditions eta, shall lead postponement/cancelling of a match/game.
13. The participants shall be notified about all fixtures and changes, if any, via WhatsApp (Captain shall be informed in case of o team) and are requested to cooperate.
14. Prize money is subject to change incase of shortfall in registrations.
15. The decision of the referees/organizers is final and binding in case of any dispute that may arise.
