The incident took place on Sunday when the deceased’s father was trying to contact him but got no response. Worried for his son, his father called a few of his friends to inquire about his son’s whereabouts.
Following this, his friends tried to contact him by video call, but the call was not received. When his friends visited his room after he did not take their calls, they found him in that situation and informed his parents.
Later, police rushed to the spot and started an investigation. At the same time, the forensic team had collected evidence from the spot. After informing the family, the police sent the dead body for postmortem.
Commenting on the matter, ACP Kalyanpur Vikas Kumar Pandey told TOI, “No suicide note was found in the room and it appears that the boy was reeling under depression. We have shifted the body for postmortem. Police will act further on the basis of a complaint.”
