DCI Releases List of Defaulter Dental Colleges who failed to submit Anti-Ragging Orientation Program Report
New Delhi- The Dental Council of India (DCI) has released a list of defaulter dental colleges which have not conducted/uploaded the Anti-Ragging Orientation Program 2023-24 report on the DCI Anti-Ragging online module.
The list includes the names of all those dental colleges in India which have not uploaded the anti-ragging 2023-24 report.
Earlier through a notice, DCI had urged all dental colleges across India to organise an anti-ragging orientation programme/workshop by 2023. As per provision 11.4 of the said DCI Regulations, all the colleges were also asked to submit a report by return email/speed post along with a CD/photograph/name of the DCI member/list of the participants of the Anti Ragging Orientation Programme. Failure to do so will take necessary action by DCI.
Anti-Ragging Orientation Programme/Workshop was organised with the objective of spreading awareness about ragging among the students including senior and fresher students.
As per DCI regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in dental colleges 2009, it will be the duty and responsibility of the Management/Principal of the dental colleges to create a conducive atmosphere for imparting dental education to the UG/PG dental students undergoing training in such colleges and take all necessary steps to prevent/prohibit/curb ragging of any type in their colleges to enable students to study the UG/PG dental course, and its various parameters and concepts of dental education in a calm and peaceful atmosphere as the dental education requires gruelling studies.
The Dental Council of India has been formed by an Act of Parliament to regulate the profession of dentistry and maintain the highest standards of dental education in the country.
