Madhya Pradesh- Madhya Pradesh Collector Rajesh Batham issued an ultimatum to Dr Lakshminarayan Pandey Medical College, asking to address the working deficiencies and management complaints within a week.
Failure to do so will result in action against the institution, a press release issued on Monday stated.
This strict directive was issued after the time-limit review meeting, held after the inspection of the medical college. During this meeting, Dr Sanjay Goyal, the Commissioner of the Ujjain Division, highlighted several issues regarding the work arrangement and management of the institution. Additionally, district administration officials also attended the meeting to discuss and address the institution's issues.
As per the Free Press Journal report, the District Collector conveyed in the meeting that Govt Dr Laxminarayan Pandey Medical College has received 40 complaints, which need to be resolved immediately. These encompass issues such as patients not receiving benefits from dialysis machines and many other shortcomings in the management.
Regarding this, the Collector directed the Dean of the Medical College to enhance the system within a week, otherwise, the institute would face repercussions. Batham also emphasised the urgency of resolving all issues concerning mismanagement and functioning deficiencies in the medical college.
The Dr Laxminarayan Pandey Medical College (LNPGMC) is situated in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, formerly recognised as Ratlam Medical College (RMC). It stands as the newest medical college in the state.
