JIPMER invites Online applications for submission of proposals to Institutional Ethics Committee Observational Studies for March 2024
Puducherry- Through a recent notice, the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has invited applications for submission of proposals to the Institutional Ethics Committee Observational Studies.
As per the notice, the last date for submission of proposals to reach the office of the undersigned for consideration of approval by the Institutional Ethics Committee for March 2024 is on or before Saturday, March 02, 2024. The proposals submitted before the last date will be taken up for discussion in the IEC Overview Committee meeting which will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
A link has been mentioned in the circular through which candidates need to complete the online version of the JIEC application form along with the necessary documents. Candidates need to submit one hard copy of certain documents to the Member-Secretary at the Institute Ethics Committee (IEC) office, Room no. 106, First floor, Administrative block, JIPMER.

Faculty, PhD scholars, postgraduate, and undergraduate students are requested to submit research proposals that have been approved by JSAC/PGRMC/SCTRC/GJ-STRAUS. These proposals will undergo approval by the Institutional Ethics Committee. Observational studies should be submitted in the specified format, which is available on the website.
IMPORTANT POINTS
1 PIs are instructed to upload their signed declaration form, consent form and soft copy of the scientific proposal through the mentioned link.
2 The procedure and guidelines for uploading the proposal on the e-EC portal are available on the official website of JIPMER, which is also mentioned in the circular.
It should be noted that while filling out the application the candidate has to enter the full title of the project, department of work and name of the investigator on the first page of the application.
