MAMC issues dress code for 66th convocation
New Delhi: Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), under the Government of NCT of Delhi, has issued a circular outlining dress code and participation guidelines for candidates attending its 66th Annual Convocation.
The convocation is scheduled to be held on April 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the college auditorium.
As per the circular dated March 27, 2026, all candidates who will be receiving their degrees in person are required to adhere to a mandatory dress code in line with University Grants Commission (UGC) directions. Female candidates have been instructed to wear Indian traditional attire such as saree or salwar kameez, while male candidates are advised to wear traditional dress, preferably kurta-pajama.
The college has also informed that stoles will be provided to the participants(For UGs Stoles Colour is Yellow and for PGs is Lavender Colour) by the College and Jackets will be providing on the hiring basis.
MAMC has scheduled a stage rehearsal on April 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the same venue, and all participants have been directed to attend.
In this convocation, all the MBBS/BDS and postgraduate students passing out in 2025 and all the students qualifying for MBBS, BDS, MS, MD and Diploma in the 66th convocation are required to attend. Along with this, Maulana Azad Medical College alumni, former faculty members, parents of degree recipients, winners of medals and prizes and trustees of awards are also invited to attend the convocation to be held on April 9, 2026.
