NMC gives deadline to Medical Colleges Running PG Medical Courses to Submit Annual Declaration Report
New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has asked all the medical colleges/institutes running postgraduate medical courses to submit an Annual Disclosure Report in respect of each PG medical course run by them.
This two-part Annual Disclosure Report consists of Standard Assessment Form Part-A, which is Institutional Information Common for all PG Specialties, and Standard Assessment Form Part-B for Broad/Super Specialty courses.
Medical Colleges running PG medical courses have been asked to fill the relevant forms and submit it with the requisite fee of Rs 50,000 plus 18% GST for each PG medical course by 31.10.2024.
Issuing a notice in this regard on 01.10.2024, the Post-Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of NMC referred to the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (MSMER-2023), which stipulates that "After its establishment, the medical college or medical institution is obligated to furnish an Annual Disclosure Report to the corresponding Board, satisfying such conditions provided under the notified MSRs by UGMEB or PGMEB and regulations of NMC, as the case may be".
Referring to these rules, the PG Board of NMC highlighted that all medical colleges/institutions running PG medical courses have to submit the Annual Disclosure Report in respect of each PG Medical Course run by them.
It further clarified that the Annual Disclosure Report consists of the following 2 parts:
(a) Standard Assessment Form Part-A (Institutional Information common for all PG Specialties)
(b) Standard Assessment Form Part-B (Broad/ Super Specialty).
"The above Forms are available on the NMC’s website (Under “Information Desk” → “Download Application Forms NMC” → “Standard Assessment Form Part-A” at Sl. No. 2 and “Standard Assessment Form Part-B (Broad Specialty)” at Sl. No. 3/ “Standard Assessment Form Part-B (Super Specialty)” at Sl.No. 4/ “Master SAF Form-B for Broad and Super Specialty when the Specialty Specific Form-B is not available on the NMC’s website” at Sl. No. 2.1)," the PGMEB mentioned in the notice.
The Commission further clarified that the Annual Declaration Report for the PG courses has to be uploaded through the link available on the home page. For any technical issue Medical colleges may send their queries, NMC PG Board said.
"All the Medical Colleges/ Institutes running PG Medical Courses are directed to fill in the relevant forms and submit the same along with the requisite fee of Rs. 50,000/- plus 18% GST for each PG Medical Course, on the designated NMC’s portal for this purpose, which will be opened till 31.10.2024. It is, therefore, requested that the college may submit the Annual declaration report by the last date i.e. 31.10.2024 positively," it added.
Referring to the PGMEB's notice, NMC Secretary Dr. B Srinivas wrote to the Directors/Principals/Deans of All Medical Colleges/Institutes under the NMC asking all the concerned institutes to take required action.
"I invite reference to the Post Graduate Medical Education Board’s (PGMEB) Public Notice of even number dated 01-10-2024 on the subject mentioned above, wherein the contents of the notice are self explanatory. All the concerned Institutions are requested to take necessary action and strictly adhere to the same," NMC mentioned in the notice.
