Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences not to charge Tuition Fees for these PG Medical courses this year
New Delhi: Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, a private medical college located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has made a significant announcement for the upcoming academic session in 2023-24. The institute has declared that students admitted to the postgraduate (PG) programs at the Sri Aurobindo Medical College and PG Institute (SAMCPI) will be exempt from paying any tuition fees.
For the academic session, students enrolling in Master of Disease (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) programs at Sri Aurobindo Medical College and PG Institute (SAMCPI) will be exempt from tuition fees. The fees will not be charged only for non-clinical courses (except for Pathology) in MD/MS Courses.
SAMCPI provides MD and MS programs in several fields, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, forensic medicine, and community medicine.
In the letter released, the medical college said, "Through this letter, we wish to inform you that the Management has decided to not charge any tuition fees from the students being admitted for the academic session 2023-24 in the MD/MS Course (Non-Clinical except Pathology)."
As per the official release by the institute, no tuition fees will be charged for non-clinical subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine.
Admission to this medical college will be conducted through the MP NEET PG counselling process ongoing for this year. The registration portal for SAMCPI's PG programs will remain open from September 25 to 28.
All students who appeared for the NEET PG 2023 are eligible to apply for the PG seat in the institute.
Candidates undertaking the program will be eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs 75,000 for the entire three-year duration. Importantly, it's up to the candidates to decide whether they wish to avail themselves of the hostel and mess facility, as these services are offered on an optional basis.
Last week, the Health Ministry, in conjunction with the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the governing body responsible for conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG), took the unprecedented step of reducing the qualifying marks for NEET PG 2023 to zero percentile in order to address the problem of unfilled seats.
